No, candidates can get admission to JNU without CUET if applying for UG and PG courses. To get admission at Jawaharlal Nehru University, candidates must appear for th CUET exam. JNU admission to most of the UG, PG and Diploma courses are based on candidates' performance in the CUET-UG & CUET-PG scores. For JNU MBA admission 2025, CUET-PG is not valid and is dependent on CAT scores. Also, PhD admissions do not require CUET.

The expected counselling rounds for the JEE Main counselling process could be conducted in 6 rounds going as per last year's counselling process. All candidates with a valid JEE Main score are eligible to participate in JoSSA for admission to various BTech courses. The counselling process includes registration, online filling and locking of choices, seat allotment, where students can choose between freeze, float or slide option, after which verification of documents is required and physical reporting to the allotted institution.

Jawaharlal Nehru University MA admission season generally begins in the first week of March every year. The programme is offered under various specialisations via six schools for a duration of two years. JNU admission 2023 to the MA programme is based on a candidate's performance in CUET-PG, followed by a counselling round. Yes, candidates seeking admission to the JNU MA course must appear for the CUET-PG entrance exam, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The students are admitted on merit based on their performance in the entrance test and the deprivation points are added to their score in accordance with the approved admission Policy and Procedures of the University. The CUET PG 2023 exam will be held for postgraduate course admissions to over 50 Central and participating Universities.
JNU CUET UG cutoff 2025 has been released for admission to various UG courses and specialisations. The cutoff was released for different categories such as General, OBC and SC categories belonging to the All India quota. The cutoff scores varied between 33.8 and 74.4, among the General AI category candidates. Among the OBC AI category candidates, the closing ranks varied between 29.16 and 69.64. There are over 965 seats for MA courses. The seat reservation policy is carried out as per a set of rules. Reservation of seats in various programmes of study for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Classes (Non Creamy Layer (NCL) and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) category is 15%, 7.5%, 27% and 10%, respectively. As per the provisions of Rights of Persons with Disabilities (PWD) Act, 2016, not less than 5% seats are reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities.
Candidates seeking admission to the JNU MA course must have a BCA/Bachelor Degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent degree with at least 55% marks. Candidates who have passed BSc/ BCom/ BA with Mathematics at Class 12 or at Graduation level with a minimum aggregate of 55%. Apart from the minimum eligibility requirement, candidates also need to appear for the Central University Entrance Test (Postgraduate) CUET-PG entrance test.

JNU MA cutoff 2024 is out for round three. The cutoff is between 83.33 and 85 for the General All-India category. As per the JNU CUET cutoff 2024, the most competitive MA course is MA in Economics (World Economy), with a Round 3 cutoff of 86.67 for the General AII India category students. In 2023, the cutoff for the same course was 67.66 for the General AII India category candidates. Hence, it can be concluded that the competition has increased for this course as compared to the previous year.
