Placements: I have been part of the JNU Placement Cell, and they have helped students secure positions at Sushma Swaraj Institute of Foreign Services, NITI Aayog, and other think tanks, with competitive salaries and prestigious roles. Not only that, but companies also visit for hiring HR and other administrative staff roles.
Infrastructure: There is a 24/7 library where you can study, along with access to round-the-clock Wi-Fi. The classrooms are world-class, providing exposure to top-notch facilities at every corner. The hostel mess offers quality food at very affordable prices, and there is a health center where you can get medical attention at no cost.
Faculty: Faculty members are very student-friendly, and students can approach them easily. The curriculum is flexible, with two exams—one mid-semester and the other at the end of the semester. Students are also required to present their papers. The teachers are highly qualified, including names like Nivedita Menon and Rajesh Rajgopalan, among others.

If you are into academia, then Jawaharlal Nehru University s a good-to-go.
Placements: For this course, there are no placement opportunities as such. Most of the students go either for UPSC and state competitive exams or Ph.D. Some will prefer joining as research associate in think thanks too. For internship, you have to find it yourself as the institution won't arrange internship for your from their side .
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of our school building is overall good except toilets condition. Hostel Infrastructure is moderate with several challenges. Food quality is good in comparison with other central universities in India. But again it depends on the hostel and mess management team.
Faculty: Course outline is amazing. Don't expect every teacher to be exceptionally well. But most of the teachers are good enough. Curriculum is not that hard. If you study consistently, there is nothing to worry. The course is less hectic compared to the course outline of Centre for Political Studies.

A very enthusiastic about and lively university with great faculty and infrastructure.
Placements: JNU doesn't have a placement cell. Though students themselves apply at various firms and think tanks. Most of the student go for post doctoral studies in JNU, DU or South Asian University. Some go for civil service exam preparation. Some student also applied for foreign university like Oxford and Cambridge. There are also students who took their path towards journalism. International Relations, though is a very old subject. There has been very limited colleges all over India having specialised college dept or college for this subject. Hence, student completing their Ph.D. ( and qualifying UGC NET find it difficult to apply for professorship due to limited seats. We are taught very theoretical approach towards International Relations which are beneficial as an analyst in a think tank or policy making forums but this course lacks practical company skills. Companies do not come for placements. The only internship that can be done is in the think tanks like Brookings, idsa etc.
Infrastructure: JNU has the best infrastructure. The rooms are big with stair type seating. Which makes classrooms more inclusive. All rooms are it conditioned. There are reading rooms at each floor. There are two libraries central and other departmental which gives us key to immense resources for good research. Hostel are two seater rooms, the newly built hostels are in better condition than the old ones. Food at the hostels are average. There are also plenty of dhabas all over the campus. The greenery around the campus is well maintained. There is a health centre with doctors or nursing staffs all the time. There is a sports stadium with yoga, gymnastics, basketball, tennis facilities.
Faculty: The strength was class was 100-120, which makes it difficult to develop professor student contact in the first year but by second year when specialised courses are taught and students are at liberty to chose whichever course they like, the strength gets curtailed and here professor gets to know student and develop that relation. The professor are highly qualified in their field like Prof BS Chimney, Prof SD Muni, Prof AK Chenoy, Prof Anuradha chenoy, Prof Menon, Prof Varun Sahni to name a few. They have several research and books published. Their teaching quality is very lucid and easily understandable. In the coming decade this branch will grow it's importance. There are growing awareness on the need for specialisation in International relations. More and more branches in colleges are opening. In private sector there are still more required to achieve in the case of course which has remained status quo since inception.
Other: International relations is a very interdisciplinary subject, which touches upon history, economy, polity, psychology and Sociology. The rapid changing dynamics of foreign policy and foreign relations makes the subject more contemporary. There needs to be more professor student interaction and think tanks should be allowed to come and select student for their firm. There are several seminars, book reviews and discussions happening all the way during the academic session. There needs to be limitation placed on active politics during academic session.

JNU-New Delhi - A well equipped university with sound infrastructure.
Placements: First of all, the applicant should keep in mind that JNU is an academically oriented university and therefore, focuses on building an academically oriented concept in the mind of the students. If we talk about placements in this course, most students, what I've seen in these years, tend to continue their studies further and go into research work doing M.phil and Ph.D and then finally ends up becoming professors. If we talk about the placements provided for the Master's students, there's a placement cell in JNU but it is not so much effective as well as functioning because of the academic way of teaching.
Students here are not taught to get placed somewhere in an MNC but to respond academically by going into research work. As far as the current placement cell is concerned, many students have got placement in the best companies, NGOs and government organisations from this course. Many of my seniors of MA politics are guest lecturers in other reputed universities while some are working as a political analyst in news channels like NDTV, IBN7, Headlines Today, etc.
Infrastructure: The MA politics (international studies) course comes under the school of international studies, which is one of the reputed and old schools of JNU known for its academic excellence and infrastructure. Classrooms are very large and are equipped with proper benches, electronic smart boards and the classes with 100-200 students are equipped with microphones for enabling the students to follow the lectures properly. All the schools (including this), hostels as well as the administration building area are equipped with a free Wi-Fi connection. Semester course fees is also negligible (around INR 200-300). Students get an id and password after admission so that they can log on to their Wi-Fi internet connection and use the internet. There's a 24x7 central library in the campus with free Wi-Fi for the students and which is very well organised with numerous books for every subject.
Hostels have their separate mess hall for serving quality food to the students with a reasonable rate. Dhabas and restaurants are also in the campus which are hygienic and serve food with reasonable prices. Hostel rooms are quite big. 2 students stays in one hostel room so there's no lack of space. In some old hostels like Kaveri and Satluj, rooms have balconies which makes it well ventilated. I don't think that there are any infrastructural issues in my university.
Faculty: The faculty members of this course are very high qualified as well as very helpful to the students. Many of the teachers have worked in top posts of the government organisations and they are very experienced and teach the course in a very practically oriented manner.
The students get a very high exposure from the teachers as they narrate their own experiences. The students can therefore link the theoretical knowledge with the one's they get to learn from the outside world.

I totally satisfied but perhaps the discrimination against caste religion is common.
Placements: The placement rate of this college is around 50%. 2 lakhs per annum is the highest package. The internship rate for this college is around 87%. I am so excited about this course because the high placement of major companies like Wipro, Reliance, and Fox trade companies also give great opportunities.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities provided in this college are quite good and very satisfying. The hostel facilities they provide is the good infrastructure is quite appreciated food dishes they served are so yummy and sports like athletics and football are here and very good hospital and dental care are provided over here.
Faculty: The teacher here appointed is very qualified and I appreciate the board members. The semester exam is quite tough. The semester is quite tough but we are ready to complete it. All subjects are very good at once whenever u go to that college you will get a good ambience and very good.
Other: I choose this because I have practice PSC exams and this course will help me.
