JNU MA Admission Dates 2024
Jawaharlal Nehru University MA admission season generally begins in the first week of March every year. The programme is offered under various specialisations via six schools for a duration of two years. JNU admission 2023 to the MA programme is based on a candidate's performance in CUET-PG, followed by a counselling round. In order to be eligible for the viva voice, a candidate must secure the following marks in the written examination:

Admission to Jawaharlal Nehru University BA (Hons) in Foreign Languages, BSc-MSc Integrated Programme in Ayurveda Biology and Certificate of Proficiencey (COP) courses is through CUET (UG). Only the aspirants with a valid score of CUET are eligible to take admission in these courses. Moreover, the application for the same has to be submitted by visiting the JNU admission portal.
No, candidates can get admission to JNU without CUET if applying for UG and PG courses. To get admission at Jawaharlal Nehru University, candidates must appear for th CUET exam. JNU admission to most of the UG, PG and Diploma courses are based on candidates' performance in the CUET-UG & CUET-PG scores. For JNU MBA admission 2025, CUET-PG is not valid and is dependent on CAT scores. Also, PhD admissions do not require CUET.
There are over 965 seats for MA courses. The seat reservation policy is carried out as per a set of rules. Reservation of seats in various programmes of study for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Classes (Non Creamy Layer (NCL) and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) category is 15%, 7.5%, 27% and 10%, respectively. As per the provisions of Rights of Persons with Disabilities (PWD) Act, 2016, not less than 5% seats are reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities.
With a score of 70 in JNUEE exam, students can easily get admission to any of the UG and PG course available at JNU. The JNU UG cutoff 2024 ranged between 55.33 and 69.78 for the General AI category candidates. Under which, the courses with the highest cutoff and lowest cutoff were BA (Hons) in French and BA(Hons) in Pashto, respectively.

JNU MA Admission 2024: How to Apply?
JNU grants admissions to MA based on the JNUEE test. The step-wise JNUEE Application Process is explained below-
1- Visit cuet.nta.nic.in
2- Read the instructions and select the agreement checkbox. Click on the submit button
3- Enter all the required details.
4- Choose the password and security question and enter the captcha
5- Fill out the application form.
6- Upload a digital image of the photograph and signature in JPEG format.
7- Payment of the application fee.

JNU cutoff 2025 is out for admission to MA, MSc, MTech and MCA based on CUET- PG. For the General AI category, in the first round, the cutoff ranged from 27.33 and 99.33. MA in Hindi was the toughest for this category, followed by MA in Hindi Translation and MA in Sanskrit. Please note that this data only applies to the General AI category quota, and other categories, rounds and specialisations will reflect different cutoffs. Yes, candidates seeking admission to the JNU MA course must appear for the CUET-PG entrance exam, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The students are admitted on merit based on their performance in the entrance test and the deprivation points are added to their score in accordance with the approved admission Policy and Procedures of the University. JNU MA cutoff 2024 is out for round three. The cutoff is between 83.33 and 85 for the General All-India category. As per the JNU CUET cutoff 2024, the most competitive MA course is MA in Economics (World Economy), with a Round 3 cutoff of 86.67 for the General AII India category students. In 2023, the cutoff for the same course was 67.66 for the General AII India category candidates. Hence, it can be concluded that the competition has increased for this course as compared to the previous year.

Yes, JNU accepts CAT scores for admission in the MBA course. Candidates must appear for this exam and achieve a valid aggregate in the same. They must also appear for a PI round. Based on these, the merit list is released and selected candidates must appear for verification and pay the tuition fees for admission confirmation.
Candidates seeking admission to the JNU MA course must have a BCA/Bachelor Degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent degree with at least 55% marks. Candidates who have passed BSc/ BCom/ BA with Mathematics at Class 12 or at Graduation level with a minimum aggregate of 55%. Apart from the minimum eligibility requirement, candidates also need to appear for the Central University Entrance Test (Postgraduate) CUET-PG entrance test.

Yes, the university offer two-year MA programme in multiple specialisations. Some of the specialisations in which the course is available are Sociology, Political Science, Economics, etc. The course carries a total of 64 credits. In addition, the course is divided into four semester and there are 16 credits each semester. Admission to this PG-level course is entrance-based.
Jawaharlal Nehru University eleigibility criteria varies as per each programme. Students must qualify Class 10+2 from the recognised board with 45% marks for general category for UG programmes.
