Institute of Technology, University of Kashmir, Zakura Campus has below criteria for taking admissions to it's various courses:

Courses	Eligibility
PG Diploma	Candidates with M.Sc Electronics are also eligible to apply.
M.E./M.Tech	Candidate must have passed B.Tech/BEi n Mechanical Engineering/ Manufacturing Engineering /Aerospace Engineering/ Automobile Engineering/Industrial and Production Engineering/CAD/CAM/Thermal Engineering.
B.E. / B.Tech	Candidate must have passed 10+2 from Jammu & Kashmir Board of school Education or from any other recognised board with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics.

Kashmir University offers various extra-curricular activities through its Department of Students Welfare (DSW). The clubs of the departments focuses on cultural, literary, music, fine arts, and theatre activities. Some of the clubs are as follows:

Chapterwise weightage of class 11 and 12 topics in JEE Main are mentioned below:

• Physics: Current Electricity Waves AC, Magnetism, Laws of Motion Work, Power and Energy.
• Chemistry the high weightage topics are s and p block elements, Coordination compounds, Thermodynamics Gaseous state, Chemical bonding, Atomic structure, Polymers, Environmental Chemistry Organic Chemistry.
• Mathematics, the high weightage topics are Sequence and Series Vectors and 3D, Integral and Differential Calculus, Definite and Indefinite Integral.

Kashmir University offers admission to most of the courses based on entrance exam. The university conducts KUET for admission to UG and PG courses. The university also accepts scores in national-level entrance exams such as GPAT, UGAT, CUET, GATE, etc. for specific courses.
