    Q:   How can I get admission in MAKAUT?
    A: 

    MAKAUT University accepts both merit and entrance based exam scores. The university conducts CET exam in June for admission to courses such as BSc, MSc, BBA and BCA courses. MAKAUT conducts JEMAT for admission to MBA and MHA courses. It also accepts a few other state/ national-level entrance exams such as WBJEE, PGET,  UGC NET  (including JRF)/ CSIR NET for admission to UG, PG and doctoral-level programmes.

    Candidates can visit the official website and fill out the application form. Appear for the entrance exam mentioned above and wait for the merit list to get released. Lastly, shortlisted candidates will be eligible for counselling.

    Q:   Can I join MAKAUT University without JEE?
    A: 

    No, admission to MAKAUT is based on entrance exams for courses such as BTech. Candidates wanting to get admission to MAKAUT for BTech must qualify West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations (WBJEE) exam and WBJEE Counselling. Those willing to get admission in the second year must appear for JELET (for Lateral Entry). MAKAUT also accepts JEE Main exam for BTech admission.

    MAKAUT cutoff 2023 for admission to the BTech course has been over after Round 3 of JEE Main Seat Allotment result. Considering the MAKAUT last-round cutoff, the closing ranks for BTech was 108551 for Techno Main Salt Lake, 25645 for HIT - Haldia Institute of Technology, 36213 for AOT- Academy of Technology. During the MAKAUT cutoff 2023, B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering was the most competitive specialisation.     A: 

    No, candidates do not have the option to change their college under Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology. If they wish to change, they are required to appear for the necessary entrance test again. However, a few articles on the internet mention that students can change their college after the first year but they are required to clear all the exams of the first year for the same. For better clarity on the subject, candidates are advised to reach out to the admission office of MAKAUT or the affiliated institute under the university.

    A very bad college. I personally am not going to suggest this college to anyone.
    Placements: There is no placement till date. The college is really bad in the education industry. The companies are not interested in this college. This is a money making college, they just want to make money from students and do not have any educational values. In the name of placement, they give a Rs. 10,000 or Rs. 12,000 monthly salary package. I think the earnings of a labourer are much better than this salary package.
    Infrastructure: The college has no infrastructure, just a 5 floor building that looks like apartments. There is no campus. I think the kindergarten infrastructure is much better than this college. There is no Wi-Fi, only a small library, bad cell classrooms, and some labs with no equipment.
    Faculty: The faculty changes every year. Actually, some faculty are good, but the environment of the college is really toxic, which is why no one wants to stay there. They ask Rs. 20,000 every year as a processing fee for conducting our exam. All exams are a total disaster.
    Other: As I already said, there is no campus in this college, only a five floor building like apartments. I suggest to every student who is completing their schooling, please do not take admission in this college. This is totally a waste of money and your time. There is no placement in this college. I completed my 3 year course here and I already spent approximately 6 to 6.5 lakhs. I got nothing from this college, no help, no placement, and the senior teachers of this college are very bad.

    Techno life is best if you know the key, all is well.
    Placements: Minimum of 60% is enough for students to get placed in this course. The highest package would be 12 Lacs per annum and the lowest would be 10 LPA. Hospitals like Apollo, Desun Manipal, Woodland, and Techno Dama Hospital recruit from college. Top roles like administrators and HR are offered in this course.
    Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available on the campus and infrastructure is good in the department. The canteen provides good food and medical facilities are there. Sports and games are introduced and played every year. If events like sports events are held every year for 3 days. Many extracurricular activities are done by the clubs and students.
    Faculty: Teachers are very helpful to students. They also help out students with any problem. The teaching quality is very updated. Semester exams are tough, sometimes but it depends on how the student is prepared. If you get backlogs in more than 4 subjects in any semester, you will get a year lag. To continue the semester, you need to pass 4 subjects. In every odd or even semester backlog, the supply exam is taken in NEST odd or even semester.
    Other: I chose this course because of good placements. The best thing about my course is that I have very good faculty members. Time and management can be improved a little. Every year, many events and fests are held. The campus crowd is good as there are many students. Scholarships like Swami Vivekananda are provided.

    My experience and review of my college .
    Placements: The placement opportunities here are pretty decent compared to other colleges. The college provides guidance on career choices and helps students choose the path to success they've always dreamed of.
    Infrastructure: The facilities provided by the college are pretty decent but could have been better considering the huge amount of money they charge students. The infrastructure is also pretty okay.
    Faculty: The college has a mixed bag of faculty, some of whom are very helpful and provide good guidance. However, there are also some faculty who are not at all helpful and will be a waste of time. On the plus side, the faculty are very knowledgeable and do a good job of preparing students for the industry.
    Other: The entrance exam is free, the location is easily accessible, the facilities are top-notch, and the faculty are knowledgeable and supportive.

    I am a little dissatisfied with the placements in college.
    Placements: As I am doing BBA in Hospitality Management, less than 50% of students are placed in our course. Our college doesn't have any contact with top companies, and I really don't have any information about the packages. However, the percentage of students going for internships is 100% from our college.
    Infrastructure: The infrastructure includes a library, computer lab, optometry lab, language lab, and biotechnology lab. Wi-Fi is available but not for everyone, and the classrooms are neat and clean. The hostel facilities are also good, with decent meals available in the canteen, and sports and yoga games are played by the facilities.
    Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality of faculty members is good and inspiring, making students industry-ready. It's not too difficult to pass the semester, with a pass percentage of 35%. If anyone gets that, they pass.
    Other: I chose this course because the hospital sector is a place where I can get a job very fast. The best thing about my course is the study. I wish there was a greater focus on practical knowledge rather than just theoretical knowledge.

    It is an average college.
    Placements: Around 20% of students got placed in this course. It is very tough to crack exams. We need to find jobs ourselves. The average salary package offered was 3 LPA. Many students got internships in this course.
    Infrastructure: Facilities are average. The infrastructure is not good. I would rate it 3 stars for facilities. Our college does not provide hostel facilities. PGs are available nearby our campus. Canteen is also not good.
    Faculty: Teachers are helpful. Semester exams are difficult because we face out of syllabus questions. The teaching quality is great. If we study well, we can score good marks.
    Other: I chose this course because fo my interest in it. Many events and fests are conducted in this college.

    Not worth the money as we don't get proper placements.
    Placements: Only few got placed that too not in hospital sectors. Unpaid internships are provided but not so good. After getting a decent marks from your semester exam you still don't get a proper reputated placement from this college but only they want is money .
    Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not that great, AC don't work We don't have hostels you need to find pgs or rent flats or rooms and trust me don't go for pgs the food is disgusting and you cant live as you want in a PG. The librarians of this college is so rude and know my experience with this college is too bad.
    Faculty: Faculty members are good. Some are based though The course curriculum is relevent. But they don't prepare the students well for the job interviews neither do they groom students The semester exams are not that difficult but you never know from where the questions may come .
