MAKAUT offers safe and healthy environment for the students. The university provides modern amenities with state-of-the-art infrastructure to its students and is spread over an area of 40 acres of land at Haringhata, District Nadia, provided by the Government of West Bengal. The best college from my experience.

Placements: The opportunity to do an internship in a good place was given by the college. I myself had the opportunity to do an internship at Suraksha Diagnostics Private Limited, Newtown. The campus placement was very nice. Different pharma companies, companies from the food and beverage sectors, and various IT companies with biological domains visited. The highest package offered was 18 LPA, and the lowest offered was 3.8 LPA. According to reports of the placement cell in our college, during the campus placements, more than 90% of students got a good placement in a good company. Microbiology is a specialization subject where saturation is not as much as in Zoology or Botany. So, there were more job opportunities as microbiologists were needed in every lab of life sciences. The university prepared you to excel in it.

Infrastructure: Hostels were also so clean, and facilities were always available for any problems, with the staff being very polite. The meal quality in the hostel was good, and Wi-Fi and electricity were available at all times.

Faculty: Microbiology was an extraordinary stream. During the pandemic, medical help was needed, and we also needed biotechnologists and microbiologists for a better future. I had always wanted to study Microbiology. The number of teachers was better than the number of students in this college. Highly educated, Ph.D. holders, and knowledgeable teachers taught here. Their teaching quality was very good. The method of interpretation was exceptional. Teachers were very familiar and friendly. Whenever someone didn’t understand, they were cooperative and explained again and again. The exam patterns were very standard.

I am very satisfied with the department and faculty. The internships and placements are good.

Placements: We do internsips are dietitias in hospitals. In the pharmaceutical industry sales, and food companies, also provide community services. They offer internships in various fields like these and also have fellowship internships. We have additional research projects that may help in the future if someone wants to pursue a Ph.D.

Infrastructure: Classrooms are good and comfortable. They have projector facilities. Wi-Fi is also available. The library environment is very nice and provides a very positive vibe. A lot of study material can be found there, and you can also make notes while sitting in the library. The whole campus feels happy.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful and always available to communicate about any problems. They prepare us in every way to gain more exposure and experience. In any seminar, they make us prepare and encourage us to participate, which boosts our confidence. The exams are in a very disciplined manner.

A very nice university.

Placements: 75% of students got placed in my course. The highest package is 7 LPA. The lowest package is 3.25 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Tech Mahindra, and NIC. Software development engineer is a top role offered in my course. 10% of students get internships.

Infrastructure: Hostets are good enough. Boys and girls both hostels are available on this campus. After 9 PM, the main gates are closed. Security is very strict. This hostel has Wi-Fi, a lift, a canteen inside this hostel, a sports ground, etc. A gym is also available in both hostels.

Faculty: This college is very good. Placements are outstanding. In this college, the faculty is very friendly, helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. This data science course is a very good choice for industry. If you complete the data science course in MAKAUT, you will get 100% placements.

Our college is situated in hilly area.

Placements: AICTE was one of the internship opportunities provided to us so far. Maybe in the coming days, we will see more internship opportunities. The internships provided are stipend-based, and most of them are certified courses, which are useful during placements. As I am still in my 2nd year, we don’t have any projects to work on yet. From the next year (3rd year), we might start working on projects.

Infrastructure: No annual fest is celebrated in my college; only fresher and farewell parties are organized, and these are funded by the students, not by the college. There is a library with a good collection of books, but you can issue only three books at a time. Classrooms are good, similar to other government colleges. There is no seminar lab. Sports facilities are not provided by the college, and if students want to play games, they need to buy their own equipment. No sports fest is celebrated either. There is, however, a group of students active on social media.

Faculty: The total number of students is approximately 2,500 to 2,800, and the faculty strength is around 90 to 100. All the junior lecturers are kind and helpful, but the senior faculty maintains a professional attitude, often full of ego, and expects students to strictly adhere to their directions without considering students’ opinions.

Dissatisfied with placement, satisfied with infrastructure, faculty, facilities, and friends.

Placements: About M.Sc. microbiology 2023 batch placement: It is relatively very less. Students do not get enough opportunities. We have a batch of 50 students, but only 25 students were able to get a job. Getting a job in MNC companies has become difficult nowadays. Mostly pharma companies, followed by beverages companies, come for hiring. Nestle India and Canpack are the top recruiters with a package of 5 lakhs per annum. Getting an internship is easy; my advice is to get an internship and try to get a full-time role in the same company.

Infrastructure: The location of the University is far from town. The University is still under development, and new areas are improving at a high pace. The biotech building does not have a central air conditioning system; in summers, it is difficult to sit. The college laboratory and library are well-maintained; all books, chemicals, and essential components are available. Yes, we have hostels on campus for both girls and boys. The food quality in both the hostel and canteen is not proper, but hygiene is maintained in the canteen. We do not have permission to see the mess kitchen, so I cannot comment on the mess hygiene. Proper drinking water facilities are not available. For sports, our ground is very big, and many sports like cricket, football, and kabaddi are played on the ground.

Faculty: We have highly qualified and very motivating and encouraging professors on campus. However, we have a high workload of assignments and deadlines that are not needed. The course curriculum is relevant to the industry, but opportunities like GATE and placements are very limited. The course is practical-oriented; we have two sessions for practicals every day. Semester exams are not difficult, but they require preparation to clear. Almost all students who appear for tests pass, but achieving good grades is a difficult task.

Other: Hostel feels are not included in mess; mess feels are separate. Please discuss it before taking admission in the hostel; otherwise, it creates a lot of trouble.

Infrastructure: Our University infrastructure is very good. There are beautiful gardens with birdcages. Our university has great internet facilities for all.
