MAKAUT MCA Eligibility & Highlights 2025

MAKAUT MCA is a full time course with a duration of two years. This course is offered to students who wish to make a career in IT feild. Offered in full time mode, candidates seeking admission must fulfil the eligibility criteria for MCA at MAKAUT as mentioned below:

Q: How do I apply for admission to MAKAUT?

Candidates need to visit the MAKAUT website and download the application form. Then fill out the application form and submit it along with the required documents. After this, candidates need to pay the application fee and appear for the MAKAUT entrance exam. Candidates who are selected will be issued an admission letter. The application fee to apply is INR 500 for General and OBC category candidates and INR 250 for SC/ ST/ PwD category candidates. College is great. Everyone can take admission for any course.

Placements: The percentage of students placed from our college is very good, it's more than 80 percent. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, Infosys, and EY. Top roles offered for MCA are web developer, system engineer, data analyst, and software developer. The highest package is 20 LPA.

Infrastructure: Our college infrastructure is very good and the ambience also. The college has indoor game facilities like carrom board, table tennis, and also has a gym and canteen facility. Students can also stay in a college hostel. The college hostel is near the college campus.

Faculty: Our college teachers are too helpful. They always try to help students. Even if a student faces a problem with any topic, teachers solve that problem at any time. Exams are conducted by the university, but teachers' notes are very helpful.

My college life at B.P. Poddar Institute of Management and Technology, Poddar Vihar.

Placements: More than 60% of students are placed till now, combining both on-campus and off-campus placements. The lowest package offered in this course is 3 LPA. The highest package offered is 15 LPA as a fresher. Companies like IBM, Cognizant, PWC, TCS, and Capgemini do mass hiring every year. Most of the students opt for placements after this course, so the number of internship opportunities students get from this course is usually low.

Infrastructure: Our department is rich with stable Wi-Fi, good devices, and great professors. The hostel is good enough for staying, and the food quality of the canteen is really good. Here we have two canteens, one for staff and one for students, but students can have breakfast and lunch from both canteens. Medical facilities are also available here in this college.

Faculty: All the professors are Ph.D. holders and have vast knowledge of their field. They are very helpful to the students. This course lets the students learn about high-demanding subjects like Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Algorithms, DSA, and many more that make the students industry-ready. Students need to have both theoretical and practical knowledge of every subject to pass during the semester.

Other: I chose this course after BCA because it has future opportunities and industries to grow. I would suggest implementing more hands-on work in courses like AI and Data Science. The campus is small but really good, the connectivity is very good. We have VIP road beside our college, and buses from every place go from here.

I will recommend taking admission.

Placements: Till now 10-15 companies have come to the campus for hiring. From our department, still no one has been placed. Some of the students have gotten an opportunity for internships. And still, the campus recruiting is going on. As of now, no students from the MCA department have been placed.

Infrastructure: Lab and classroom infrastructure is very good. The systems provided by the college are good for the labs. Classrooms are well managed, and projectors are installed for better study. Study materials provided by the faculty members are very helpful for the exam.

Faculty: In this college, the education quality is better from my perspective, as all the teachers are very helpful. The subject teacher is always available for any study-related problems.

It is a well-known college in India.

Placements: Many companies visit our college for placements. Mainly, companies offer a package that ranges from 3-4 LPA. Very few students got good placements with a package of around 10 LPA. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Accenture, and Capgemini visit the campus. Around 65-75 percent of students got placements.

Infrastructure: The college has a small campus. It is neat, clean, and looks very beautiful. All facilities essential for studies are available, like a library, computer labs, and Wi-Fi. The college doesn't have its own hostel. PGs or flats are available near the college.

Faculty: Faculty members are quite helpful. They teach us in very understandable language. All classes are held most of the time. Teachers provide notes that are very important for the semester examination. They provide various training to make us industry-ready. Semester exams are of a moderate level.

Placements: For the MCA course at Dr. B. C. Roy Engineering College, Durgapur, around 85 percent of students are placed. The highest package is 12 LPA, the lowest is 3 LPA, and average is 5.5 LPA. Faculty: MCA faculty at BCREC, Durgapur are highly qualified, supportive, and use practical teaching methods. The curriculum is industry-oriented, covering AI, ML, DBMS, and software development. Semester exams are moderate in difficulty, focusing on both theory and application, with pass percentage of around 90-95 percent.

Other: I chose the MCA course at BCREC, Durgapur, to learn programming and build a career in IT. Teachers are helpful, and we get to work on practical projects which make learning interesting. I wish there were more placement drives and better lab facilities. The campus is nice, well-connected, and full of life with events like Zeal and Horizon. Other are also scholarships and lots of activities are there for students to enjoy and grow.

Placement rate recorded during MAKAUT BTech placements 2024 was 81%. For MTech, the placement rate in 2024 was 78.2%. In addition, 100% placement was recorded in MPharm and MBA programs.
