Manipal University admissions are entirelyy entrance-based. Except for a few courses, where candidates are selected through the merit obtained in their last qualifying exam or by qualifying for Department specific tets for the respective courses. Apart from that, for courses like BBA, MA, BTech, BPharm, etc. candidates must appear for Manipal Entrance Test (MET), followed by other selection rounds.

Manipal University placements are still ongoing for academic year 2024-2025. As per the latest report, the University recorded 77.4% placements for batch 2025 so far. The official MET 2025 dates have been prepared and announced by MAHE online at manipal.edu. Candidates will be able to check the official schedule for the various examination and admission-related events through the MET dates. To ensure that the candidates do not miss out on any important events, the candidates are advised to stay updated with the schedule. After the final date, the authorities will not accept any requests. 

During the application process, the candidates will be able to choose three options from the list of the available MET exam cities. It is to be noted that the selection of exam cities will have to be done carefully since the allotment of exam centres will depend on it. The authorities will allot the MET exam centres as per the preferences of the candidates and seat availability. In case the first preference is not available, the candidates will be allotted in the exam centres present in their next preference.
