MAT counselling consists of two to three rounds of Group Discussion (GD Round), Personal Interview (PI Round ) and the final Written Ability Test Round . However, each of these are held and conducted according to the respective institutes and the central conducting body AIMA has no participation in the counselling of MAT Examination.

CUET scores are used for admission to various universities/colleges that candidates has applied for while filling the application form. Students who are qualified through either of the mentioned exam are eligibile to apply. The university accepts admission on its 50% seats through CUET, while the remaining 50% seats are filled with the qualifiers of MUET.
