MG University MBA Eligibility & Highlights 2025

Mahatma Gandhi University (MGU) MBA is a two-year course offered in a full-time mode. The University School of Management and Business Studies offers it. Admission is based on several entrance exams, followed by Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interviews (PI). MG University MBA Admission 2025: How to Apply?

MG University MBA admission varies depending upon the MGU college. In some colleges, admission is through CAT and MGU PG CAP. Additionally, some colleges offer direct admission. The MGU admission criteria involve the application process, shortlisting of students, release of the cutoff list, GD & PI, and counselling. 1 - MG University MBA Application Process 2025

MG University's application process for an MBA at the University campus is conducted through MGU PG CAP. Candidates can apply for the PG course online. Below mentioned is the step-wise MG University MBA application process:

a - Visit the official website of MGU Kerala, www.mgu.ac.in.

b - Click on new registration and register yourself.

c - Fill in the application form with relevant details.

d - Upload the required documents.

e - Pay the application fee and submit the form.

2 - Shortlisting of Students

After the conclusion of the application procedure, a cutoff or selection list is released. The shortlisting is done based on the accepted exam score (KMAT/CMAT/CAT/MAT/XAT/KMAT Kerala/Karnataka PGCET/MGU CAT). In some of the MGU-affiliated colleges, direct admission is granted.

3 - Selection Rounds

St. Berchmans College is a place where goals are being manifested.

Placements: The highest salary package for the MBA course at our college is around 7.5 LPA. Students of the MBA course who pass out from our college work as business consultants, chief executive officers, financial analysts, marketing managers, IT managers in several fields like IT and e-commerce sectors, finance and banking sectors, manufacturing industries, etc.

Infrastructure: Our entire college campus is separated into three blocks. The area of our whole college campus is around 130 acres. There are three hostel buildings situated in our college premises. Of these three hostel buildings two are allocated for the boys and the remaining one for the girls. The overall atmosphere of our college is also very lenient.

Faculty: All the faculty members of our college are Ph.D. holders. The MBA course at our college covers core areas like marketing management, business ethics, operations management, corporate finance, market research, building strategies, etc. Almost 84 percent of students easily qualify for the exam every year with good academic marks.

Review of Rajagiri College of Social Sciences.

Placements: There was a placement cell in the college that provided placement opportunities in different companies. There were some criteria for being eligible to sit for placements. The student had to have 75 percent attendance and a 7.5 GPA in either the last semester or overall. If a student had any of the above, They allowed to sit for placements. Deloitte, KPMG, Wipro, HDFC Bank, and ICICI Bank were the top recruiting companies. The average package was 3 LPA. The range of the package was 2 LPA to 5 LPA. The highest package was 15 LPA. It all depended upon the students’ learning.

Infrastructure: Hostel facility was available at reasonable prices. Facilities were good. There were rooms available with shared as well as single registration for the hostel. The mess food was good and hygienic.

Faculty: Faculty was very well qualified overall. They focused on mentoring the students by taking charge of a group of students and guiding them throughout the course. All lecturers had a Ph.D. and were experts in their field. Faculty devised innovative ways of teaching. The one thing that lacked was that a few faculty members were not very easily accessible due to their workloads and timing mismatch. We had 2 kinds of exams in each semester. Internals and External. Internals carried 25 marks + 5 marks for attendance, and the externals carried 70 marks. It was based on evaluation. The course curriculum was very good. It included all aspects of management studies. They gave a perfect overview of business management and its environment. The exams happened every semester to clear the same. Faculty members were very experienced, and it was fun interacting with them. All of them had a Ph.D. and hence had detailed knowledge about the field in which they were teaching.

Decent college with good facilities, but located in a remote area.

Placements: Campus placements are conducted every year mainly for final-year students and sometimes for third-year students as well. However, students must clear all subjects on time to be eligible. Those with backlogs usually cannot sit for placements. Overall, placement opportunities are decent, but students must be serious about academics.

Infrastructure: The college has a decent campus environment, which helps in overall learning. The library and laboratories are well-equipped and useful for students. There is also a stationery store and a printing press on campus, where most employees are different-able, which is a really good initiative by the college. However, the college is located in a remote area, which makes travelling difficult.

Faculty: Each subject has separate faculty members. Some Maths teachers and lab instructors are very strict, which creates pressure on students, but other teachers are very supportive and motivating. The curriculum is standard, and exams are conducted properly, though practical sessions sometimes become noisy due to non-teaching staff.

Other: One drawback of the college is its remote location, which makes daily travel difficult for many students. Other than that, the college environment is good and supports both academics and personal growth.

Overall, the college is the best for the MBA course.

Placements: All students had 90 percent placement, with an average package of 22 LPA. Top companies visiting our college included McKinsey, Reliance Industries, Hindustan Unilever, etc. 80 percent of students received internships, and the highest awarded to students was 13 LPA. All student referrals were managed on campus, and faculty supported students throughout the process. The top roles offered were Management Consultant, Investment Banker, and more.

Infrastructure: Our college had really good facilities. We had beautiful classrooms. CCTV monitoring was available on campus. The college had high-speed Wi-Fi. All labs and the library were in excellent condition. The hostel was wonderful. Junk food was served in the mess. The hostel had sports and medical facilities.

Faculty: Our faculty members were well educated. Their methods of presenting topics were excellent. The curriculum was appropriate. Students were able to understand the instruction in a comprehensive manner. The semester exams were a bit tough. The pass percentage was around 60 percent.

They have a idea to renovate the college in a better way.

Faculty: Teachers progress in finishing the portion was slow because they considered understanding the syllabus to be more important than finishing within the time.
