CUSAT MBA Eligibility & Highlights 2025
Through its School of Management Studies (SMS), Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) offers a full-time MBA lasting two years. Further, the university offers an Evening MBA programme lasting three years. Admission to these courses is based on the applicants' performance in CAT (IIM)/ CMAT (AICTE)/ KMAT (Kerala)/ CUET PG (10% supernumerary seats), followed by GD and PI rounds conducted by SMS.
The university also offers MBA courses through CUSAT-affiliated colleges, such as Bhavan's Royal Institute of Management, Asian School of Business, KVM College of Engineering and IT, etc. Candidates seeking MBA admission at the university must fulfil the following CUSAT MBA eligibility criteria:
- Aspirants must have passed a Bachelor's degree with any subjects and a minimum aggregate of 50% or equivalent CGPA

SEBC candidates of Kerala State belonging to the non-creamy layer category are eligible for a 5% relaxation in the minimum marks required in the Bachelor's degree
The university also offers a two-year Executive MBA. In addition to meeting the aforementioned eligibility criteria, candidates seeking admission to the Executive MBA programme must have at least two years of work experience (after graduation) in an executive/ managerial/ professional/ entrepreneurial role in a start-up/ Commercial/ Government establishment/ registered non-profit organization and should be currently employed in similar roles.

2: Selection & Admission
Admission is based on KMAT/ CMAT/ IIM-CAT/ CUET PG scores (10% supernumerary seats). Shortlisted candidates are called for GD and PI rounds. Candidates academic background and work experience are also important factors. The final rank list is based on performance in aptitude tests, personal interviews and group discussion. It is in ratio of 70:15:15, respectively. The KMAT, CMAT and IIM-CAT score normalisation procedure is decided by the university/ admission committee. Selected candidates can start with the admission formalities. Selected candidates can confirm admission by paying the course fee.

CUSAT offers MBA for a duration of two years and part-time MBA for three years. In the first year of MBA programme, the foundational aspects of Business and Management is focused. Students are also exposed to the fundamental concepts in various functional areas of management.
