NALSAR Hyderabad LLM Eligibility & Highlights 2025
The NALSAR Hyderabad LLM course is one year long. To complete this course, candidates need to complete three mandatory courses (four credits each), six optional courses (three credits each) and a dissertation (six credits) as part of the course. Some of the specialisations in which the PG course is available are Corporate and Commercial Law, Criminal Law, Environmental Law, Personal Law, etc.
The NALSAR University of Law LLM admission is done based on applicants' CLAT scores. Shortlisted candidates have to go through CLAT counselling as well. Apart from this, aspirants must meet the NALSAR LLM eligibility criteria mentioned below:
Eligibility Criteria: Aspirants should have passed a three-year LLB course with a minimum of 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for SC/ST).

The university admits candidates to its one-year LLM course based on performance in the CLAT exam. It is advisable to check eligibility requirements before applying for the course. NALSAR Hyderabad admission is a multi-step procedure that involves CLAT registration, appearing for the exam, cutoff release, CLAT counselling, seat allotment, fee payment, and admission confirmation. STEP 1: NALSAR LLM Application Process 2025
The first step is to fill out the CLAT application form. Aspirants can visit the official website of CLAT (https://clatconsortiumofnlu.ac.in/) to apply. To access the application, candidates have to first fill out the registration form. All the details in the form should be filled out as per the official documents.
STEP 2: Appear for Exam & Release of Cutoff
Applicants further need to take the CLAT LLM exam. The test is conducted in offline mode. When the exam is conducted successfully, a cutoff list is published to indicate the required score of qualification of the counselling.
STEP 3: Counselling, & Admission Confirmation
In the CLAT Counselling, document verification and seat allotment procedures are carried out. Following this, selected candidates need to report to the university and pay the course fee amount. The NALSAR LLM tuition fee is INR 65,000. Additionally, the one-time fee is INR 20,000 and the hostel charges are up to INR 1.02 lakh. This fee is as per the official website/sanctioning body. NALSAR Hyderabad LLM Placements 2024
According to the media reports, 100% of placements were recorded for the 2024 batch. Out of 119 students, 86 appeared for the drive and were placed in domestic and international firms. A total of 36 PPOs were received and 50 students were placed through campus placements. The highest and average packages offered during NALSAR University of Law placements 2024 were INR 59 LPA and INR 17 LPA, respectively. Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, Trilegal, AZB & Partners and many other leading companies participated.
As per the NIRF report 2024 released by NALSAR, the median package offered during UG 5-year and PG 1-year placements 2023 stood at INR 16 LPA and INR 7 LPA, respectively. Further, a total of 98 students were placed and 12 students opted for higher studies out of a total of 112 students during UG 5-year placements 2023. Other than this, 53 students were placed and 7 students opted for higher studies out of a total of 64 students during PG 1-year placements 2023.
Earlier, the NIRF report 2023 is out. As per the report, 96 BA LLB (Hons) and 48 LLM students were placed during 2022 placements. The median package offered to BA LLB (Hons) and LLM students during NALSAR University of Law placements 2022 was INR 16 LPA and INR 7 LPA, respectively.
The 2023 placement statistics are yet to be released. Earlier. 96 out of 118 BA LLB (Hons) students were placed during 2022 placements. For LLM, 48 out of 66 students were successfully placed. The median package for LLM and BA LLB 9Hons) courses has been stagnant over the past two years. The key highlights of NALSAR placements 2022 and 2021 are presented below:
