The NLU Assam placement report is yet to be released on the official website. Once it is released, the placement rate will be updated here. However, as per the NLU Assam NIRF report 2023, only 1 student was placed out of total 57 students in 2021.

The highest package reported in NLUs was INR 16.50 Lacs per year, and the lowest package recorded was INR 6.5 Lacs per year, according to NIRF data.

The University provides a five-year integrated course called B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) Five-Year Integrated Course, in which the first two years of study combine law courses with Social Science disciplines like Economics, History, Political Science, and Sociology as well as an English language course. For the first three years of school, every topic is required. But in the fourth and fifth years, students can choose from five different streams of optional subjects: Corporate and Intellectual Property Law; Administrative and Constitutional Law; Consumer Protection and Environmental Law; Criminal Law and Criminology; and International Law and Human Rights. The Semester System is used by the NLUJA. There are two semesters in each academic year, making the complete Five-Year Course divided into ten semesters.

NLu Assam offers ‘Merit Cum Means Scholarship Scheme’ with the view to supporting students from economically backward classes in their pursuit of education. This scholarship helps students who are pursuing BA, LLB (HONS) five year integrated course, i.e., students of the second; third; fourth and fifth years. The scholarship will be provided to students whose family income is less than INR 8 lakh.

CLAT 2027 dates for admission to NLU Assam have not been released yet. Students seeking admission to UG and PG courses offered at National Law Universities (NLUs) can apply for CLAT 2027 on or after August 1, 2026 since registration window will open on then. Only students who fill out the application form as well as, pay the fee are issued admit cards to appear for CLAT exam 2024. Students can log in using their registered mobile number and password to update their preferences in CLAT 2024 application form. 

Conducted in pen-and-paper mode, candidates have to attempt questions from English, Current Affairs and GK, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Mathematics for UG course, and from Constitutional Law, and other law subjects like Jurisprudence, Torts, IPC, CrPC, CPC, Family Law, and IPR. For admission 2027 at NLU Assam, the registration is yet to open.

Candidates who are willing to get into NLU Assam for the one-year LLM or five-year LLB course must specific the desired course in the application form.

For admission to one-year LLM at NLU Assam, the CLAT test was conducted on Dec 3, 2023. Aspirants of NLU Assam were required to appear for the exam in offline pen-paper mode at the allotted test centres. Candidates could complete the CLAT registration 2024 until Nov 3, 2023 in online mode. The exam took place in more than 125 cities listed as CLAT 2024 test centres in 22 states and UTs. The detailed schedule of CLAT 2024 was declared along with the CLAT Exam Centers 2024.

• The CLAT question paper for undergraduate courses has total 120 passage-based objective-type questions from five subjects - English Language,   Logical Reasoning,   Legal Reasoning,  CLAT Affairs including General Knowledge and Quantitative Techniques. 

• The CLAT LLM question paper has both objective- and subjective-type questions. However, last year, the CLAT Consortium removed the descriptive section from the LLM paper. Check complete CLAT 2024 exam pattern for LLM.

As per NLU Assam NIRF report 2024, the median package offered during UG 5-year placements 2023 stood at INR 6.8 LPA. Further, a total of 16 students were placed and 20 students opted for higher studies out of total 70 students during UG 5-year placements 2023. Earlier, the institute has released the NIRF report 2023 on its official website. According to the NIRF report 2023,  1 BA LLB (Hons) student was placed during NLU Assam placements 2021. The NLU Assam average package offered during the 2023 placement drive is yet to be published on the official website. Yes, it is worth pursuing LLM at NLU Assam. It is one of the eminent institute and offers quality education to the students. National Law University Assam admission is based on merit and entrance exams. The university accepts the CLAT exam for admission. Aspiring candidates must qualify for the eligibility criteria set by the university for the desired course. National Law University course admission begins through online application. 

National Law University Assam fee for BA LLB programme is INR 4 lakh. Candidates must hold an LLB or an equivalent degree from an accredited university in order to be considered for admission to LLM programmes. A Common Law Admission Test (CLAT), AILET, LSAT India, or individual entrance examinations administered by colleges are frequently included in the admissions process. Commercial law, corporate law, constitutional law, environmental law, intellectual property law, human rights and international humanitarian law, and international trade law are among the LLM specialisations.
