For admission to National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam LLM course, candidates have to register through CLAT portal. As per NLU Assam NIRF report 2024, the median package offered during UG 5-year placements 2023 stood at INR 6.8 LPA. Further, a total of 16 students were placed and 20 students opted for higher studies out of total 70 students during UG 5-year placements 2023. NLu Assam offers ‘Merit Cum Means Scholarship Scheme’ with the view to supporting students from economically backward classes in their pursuit of education. This scholarship helps students who are pursuing BA, LLB (HONS) five year integrated course, i.e., students of the second; third; fourth and fifth years. The scholarship will be provided to students whose family income is less than INR 8 lakh.

NLU Assam offers a total of 40 seats for admission to LLM. The admission are based on CLAT score. For admission to LLM course at NLU Assam candidates have to register through CLAT portal. Registered candidates for CLAT 2024 counselling will be called by NLU Assam through five provisional merit lists, each released by the Consortium of CLAT. At NLU Assam, there are 30 available seats for LLM. At the postgraduate level, NLU Assam provides a one-year LLM programme. Students may apply if they have a valid CLAT exam score and satisfy the minimal eligibility requirements. An undergraduate degree with a 50% cumulative GPA is the primary qualifying requirement, and the CLAT entrance exam is accepted. The tuition fee structure is 55 K in total. Seven specialisations in LLM courses are available at NLU Assam. Commercial law, corporate law, constitutional law, environmental law, intellectual property law, human rights and international humanitarian law, and international trade law are among the LLM specialisations.

NLU Assam CLAT cutoff 2025 has been released for the first round. The cutoff was released for admission to BA LLB (Hons), for candidates belonging to General AI category and PWD AI category candidates. If you belong to the General AI category, then you must get a rank of 1643 or lower to get admission. For the PWD AI category candidates, the closing rank of 45940 or lower is must.

A passing CLAT score is a requirement for admission to the NLUJAA LLM programme. In order to receive their final seat assignment, students must also go through the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) counselling process run by CNLU.

Constitutional law, international trade law, administrative law, human rights & international humanitarian law, security & investment law, etc. are among the specialisations offered by LLM colleges in India. 

The University provides a five-year integrated course called B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) Five-Year Integrated Course, in which the first two years of study combine law courses with Social Science disciplines like Economics, History, Political Science, and Sociology as well as an English language course. For the first three years of school, every topic is required. But in the fourth and fifth years, students can choose from five different streams of optional subjects: Corporate and Intellectual Property Law; Administrative and Constitutional Law; Consumer Protection and Environmental Law; Criminal Law and Criminology; and International Law and Human Rights. The Semester System is used by the NLUJA. There are two semesters in each academic year, making the complete Five-Year Course divided into ten semesters.

NLUJAA LLM admission 2024 is done through CLAT. Candidates who qualify for CLAT are required to pay fee for their respective courses, which includes various components such as Tuition Fee, Examination Fee, Security Deposit, Hostel Charges (if applicable), etc. Other than the LLM fee, candidates are required to pay a fee for CLAT application fee. For General /OBC /PWD /PIO /OCI /NRI category candidates, the application fee is INR 4,000 and for SC /ST /BPL category candidates, the application fee is INR 3,500. 

Yes, NLU Assam accepts CLAT score. Candidates who are looking for degree course admission at National Law University & Judicial Academy, Assam must have a valid CLAT score. The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) began the CLAT 2025 Registration on July 15, 2025. Candidates can fill the CLAT Application Form 2025 until October 15, 2024. All interested candidates can fill out the CLAT Application Form 2025 by visiting the official website; i.e. consortiumofnlus.ac.in. CLAT 2025 Application fees must be paid by the candidates as mentioned in the CLAT Exam Notification. Candidates aspiring for NLU Assam admission to BA LLB and LLM courses must have a valid score in CLAT in order to be eligible for the further CLAT Counselling for the final admission.
