Very good infrastructure.
Placements: Need to find your own job by taking exams. Taking government exams helps you get a job. College has internship campaigns, which will give you experience that will help you in your future. According to the latest report, some students got a good package.
Infrastructure: Good classroom and lab. It also has a separate library and a decent canteen, which provides decent food. The library is good, but the librarian is always angry. Labs are good, but in the computer lab, some computers don't work properly. Projectors are present.
Faculty: Teachers are good. Syllabus of B.Sc. Computer Science is almost the same as BCA. Semester exams are not so hard. I just need to study. Results are given in SGPA, and if you get a 3.5, then you are good to go otherwise, you need to give the exam again next year.

Decent placements and affordable fees.
Placements: NBU placement cell facilitates jobs in companies like TCS, Cognizant, and HDFC Bank, with a 40-60% placement rate. Placement support is stronger for professional courses like MBA AND BCA but limited for traditional courses like B.Sc. WITH some BCA roles reaching INR 12 LPA.
Infrastructure: NBU 330 ACRES campus features modern classrooms, a well stocked library with 2,23,208 books, and advanced labs for Science and technology. Facilities include wi-fi, a computer center, sports complexes, and auditoriums, though some areas need better maintenance.
Faculty: Faculty are qualified, approachable, and use interactive methods like smart boards and research oriented teaching. They guide students in academics and research, but some departments lack industry exposure or consistent engagement. Support for practical training and projects is strong.
Other: The events were very good.

B.A. (Hons.) in English - Batch of 2028
Offered by Siliguri College

Overall, good environment but teachers are negligent.
Placements: No placement was offered, and no companies visited the English department. I don't think any companies would visit to offer placements to students because of college's poor infrastructure. Even if any companies did visit, they would offer very low packages, which I would say poor packages.
Infrastructure: There is availability of Wi-Fi only in canteen and computer lab. Classrooms are average (a little dirty though). There is a library in the college where students can find any material related to the study of their subject. The food quality is average, sometimes they cook well and sometimes bad.
Faculty: Some teachers are very helpful and understanding while some are not at all. Teachers are knowledgeable. My only complaint is that some teachers teach only in Bengali and not in Hindi or English, which is very difficult to understand for non-Bengali community. Course curriculum is relevant but doesn't make students industry-ready. Teachers have basic knowledge of the subject matters, thanks to the introduction of NEP. I don't know the pass percentage, I think it is around 70%. Semester exams are easy and can be passed with regular study.
Other: I chose this course so that I can apply for B.Ed program to become a teacher. The best thing about our course is that I get to meet people of different ethnicities and interact with them as this college is a multiregional college. Teachers would be more interactive with students. College organizes grand freshers and social events every year, which is probably the best in Siliguri. Students gather together to celebrate the event and artists are invited to perform live in our college. College is very crowded during the events. Students can participate in different extracurricular activities, which include cricket, football, volleyball, and badminton. College gives opportunities to everyone to participate in it.

An average college for studies, satisfied with the faculty and placements.
Placements: Percentage of students placed in my course is approximately 45%. The highest package is ₹15k per month, the average ₹9k per month, and the lowest ₹5k per month. Top recruiters included Indian Bank. Around 60% of students got internships. Companies that offered internships include ICICI Bank, Punjab National Bank, SBI, and Shaping Ideas.
Infrastructure: Facilities in the department are very good. The classrooms are well-organized and equipped with a smart board, speakers, microphones, and Wi-Fi. The library is open to all departments and contains all the necessary books. Hostel facilities are not available, and the food in the canteen is average.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality was good, with interactive sessions and practical life examples. The curriculum is relevant and prepares students to be industry-ready. The difficulty level of the semester exams is average, with an 80–85% pass percentage.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to grow my family business, and this course would teach me how to improve it. The best part of my course was marketing. I wish the accounts part of the course could be improved. Overall, everything was very good.

Affordable education with supportive faculty, needs more practical exposure and events.
Placements: Around 70?80% students were placed. The highest package offered was ?12 LPA, the lowest ?2.5 LPA, and average around ?4?5 LPA. Top recruiters included TCS, Wipro, Infosys, ICICI, and Capgemini. Around 60?70% got internships from platform like Internshala, BSNL, and EdTech firms. Top roles included software developed, data analyst, sales executive, HR trainee, and many students also prepared for government exams. Overall, placement was good for a government college.
Infrastructure: Islampur College offers decent infrastructure with Wi-Fi-enabled classrooms, a well-stocked library, and basic computer labs for practical sessions. Hostel facilities are limited, however, private hostels are nearby. The canteen serves simple food, medical aid is basic, and students enjoy sports like football and cricket.
Faculty: Teachers at Islampur College are helpful, qualified, and have good subject knowledge. Teaching quality is decent, with a focus on theory. The curriculum is mostly relevant but lacks strong industry exposure. Semester exams are moderate in difficulty, and the pass percentage is around 80-85% on average.
Other: I chose this course due to my strong interest in the subject and its career scope. The best part is the supportive faculty and affordable education. However, more practical exposure and industry tie-ups would improve it. The campus crowd is friendly, events are few but enjoyable, and connectivity is good. Scholarships are available, and students participate in cultural and sports activities actively. The surroundings are peaceful, creating a good learning environment.

Maximal deals excel in commutative brings with unity.
Placements: I don't think that our college has any placement system, and even if we have any it is not so much that we should be aware of it. We don't have any percentage of students who got any placement in any companies. We don't have any top roles in our college or our department.
Infrastructure: In our college, we don't have any hostel system or something like that. But we have menu faculty members in our college like central library, college union, sports union, etc. We have a clean cafeteria. The food is good enough for the students and professors.
Faculty: Teachers are so much helpful. They are more than enough qualified and knowledgeable. Teachers teaching quality is more than enough for us. But the main problem is that we don't have enough professors in our mathematics department. The semester exams' difficulty level is moderate.
