B.Sc. (Hons.) in Agriculture (6 years) - Batch of 2029
4.8

Fully satisfactory university.
Placements: There are almost 200 seats at PAU for B.Sc. (Hons) agriculture 2+4 years. This is the best university for agriculture students. It also offers good packages as the persons in my known are well settled in America, Canada, and they are earning good around 100000 $.
Infrastructure: All the facilities are available but the some hostel which is given to first year students is average, and that hostel has 3S rooms. But in second year another hostel is allotted to students, and that are too good than that of 1st year, and that hostel has big rooms.
Faculty: Teachers are quite good there. They are well educated and have a lot of knowledge. They guide us in a good way. Semester exam's difficulty level is medium but it depends on our studies too. Passing percentage is 50% to clear course, overall 50% marks are required.
Other: I chose B.Sc. (Hons) agriculture 2+4 year course, and I completed my 2 years. My experience was quite good and I also scored good over these 2 years.

B.Sc. (Hons.) in Horticulture - Batch of 2028
4.6
3Placements5Infrastructure5Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
PAU is full of opportunities and research.
Placements: There are not many options after a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Horticulture, and we can either study further, or we can prepare for job exams. The scope is very prominent in horticulture but placements are very low as there are not many jobs for B.Sc in Horticulture. We have to do a master's degree in order to get a job.
Infrastructure: The university is very big and it comprises many different colleges. The campus is spread over 1,600 acers. Classrooms are also fully furnished and all studies are done by projector PPT based. It has one of the biggest libraries in Punjab. Hostels are in liveable conditions and not very lavish.
Faculty: Teachers are very supportive and educative. They help at every turn of our course. It has a very unique system of allotting advisors to every group of 10 students who will help and solve all of our problems. Exams are just going on all year, and we are tested every 1 and a half months.

B.Tech. in Food Technology - Batch of 2026

A current student's perspective on the food science department.
Placements: Food technology students do not get placements but they do get internships in the last year. You should be performing well in the internships if you want to secure a place in the company. They do provide placements for some other courses So if you can you should check other courses out.
Infrastructure: The building is okay in condition but it never gets renovated. The labs are small but if you are a small group then you will be fine. Wi-Fi is not great. Classrooms are okay. They have put new ACs in there so that is a start. They are improving the conditions but slowly.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. You should be making acquaintances with teachers. If you can become a teacher's pet. The curriculum in theory is great but in practical lags a bit but elp prepares students for industries so no worries. We have three exams hourly, mid-term, and end-term. Hourly and mid-term are easy and from the course but end terms are set up by outside and a little difficult. The passing % varies it can be 50% or 35% as per teacher.

Dissatisfied hostels but the great campus life and placement at PAU.
Placements: Getting placed here is quite easy due to the strong alumni network within the university. The seniors are very helpful, and there are no issues with ego among them. Alumni of PAU are spread across top universities around the globe and are eager to offer assistance.
Infrastructure: The overall infrastructure of the institution is good, but the hostels are in poor condition. Some renovation work has now been initiated, so we hope for improvements soon. The Wi-Fi system functions well, classes are engaging, and the mess food is satisfactory—there have been no issues in that regard. Additionally, the sports facilities are excellent.
Faculty: The courses offered are not overly challenging. Teachers are supportive and helpful in explaining new topics. They maintain a positive demeanor and do not have anger issues. The practical sessions are beneficial in encouraging students to grasp concepts more easily.

B.Tech. in Agricultural Engineering - Batch of 2025

Good placements in 2023, highly cooperative faculty.
Placements: Around 70-80% of students are placed each year. Companies like Mahindra and Mahindra, TAFE, CLAAS, John Deere, and other companies are invited every year for the on-campus placements. The students are shortlisted based on merit. The average package offered by companies is 6 lakhs per annum, and the highest package was offered by John Deere, starting at 15 lakhs per annum.
Infrastructure: The campus has Wi-Fi in the library and other academic buildings. The infrastructure of the college is not very complex; a simple building consists of classrooms and labs in the UG building, while the PG building has all the teacher cabins. I am a day scholar, but the hostels have rooms in considerably poor condition, and the washrooms seriously need renovation.
Faculty: The teachers and other faculty members are highly educated and qualified. They are highly cooperative and maintain great relations with the students. The coursework is rather a bit overloaded, as studying 9-10 courses per semester is demanding. The exams occur 3 times in 6 months, with a gap of one month between each, excluding practicals and other assignment submission deadlines.
Other: I chose this course for two reasons: my keen interest in agriculture and the other reason being the close proximity of the campus to my hometown. The things I genuinely want my college to improve are its fee structure and infrastructure, as the fee structure doesn't justify the facilities that are provided to us. The fests are conducted once every year, named Youth Fest. The other fests are conducted in the form of different fairs.

Everything about the College of Agricultural Engineering and PAU is positive.
Placements: Placements are really good here. If you have scored a good CGPA or even less, they will provide you placements if you don't want to continue your studies further. About 35 students get placed every year among 80 because others continue their studies in M.Tech.
Infrastructure: The hostels are really not good, but the mess food is awesome. Classes are good, but in summer they are exhausting because they don’t have AC in the classrooms. Otherwise, there is a problem of leakage in some classes. Some creativity is also shown in the classrooms as the infrastructure is unique.
Faculty: Exams are taken three times in a semester: hourly, mid, and final. The final exams are the toughest; the others are easy to pass. Teachers are good and helpful; they have a lot of experience, and their way of teaching is good. The seniors are also very helpful, and there is no ragging in the whole PAU.
Other: You will get a lot of opportunities here in every field. In whichever area you are good, you can participate very easily. It is a very open environment here, and every five students are provided with one advisor to help with any problems they may have.
