PES University MBA admission is based on entrance exam score. The university conducts PESSAT for a duration of 180 minutes to shortlisted candidates for MBA programme. Besides, PES also accepts national and state-level Management entrance exams for MBA admission. Follow the below steps to get a seat in MBA programme of PES University:

Eligibility: Candidates must complete a bachelor's degree with at least 50% aggregate to register for MBA admission. Eligible aspirants can apply with an application fee of INR 1,200 for MBA.

Entrance exam: Aspirants need to qualify CAT, MAT, CMAT, PGCET or any other Management entrance exam. Candidates who have not qualified for any of these, can apply for PESSAT conducted by the university. The selected candidates are then called for GDPI round.

Counselling: Once the selection rounds are over, candidates can book their seat by paying the course fee.

MBA is one of the top courses of PES University. MBA course at PES University comprises of a core curriculum, an internship and elective courses over a time period spanning across two years. Students also get to work as an intern as a part of the course curriculum. Talking about the placement, MBA students have got placed in top companies. The median package offered to MBA students during PES University placements 2022 was INR 5.50 LPA.  An upsurge of almost 16% was recorded in the 2022 placement rate of MBA when compared with 2021. Some of the leading companies who were a part of PES Placement drive are IBM, Flipkart, Amazon, etc.

The total tuition fee for PES University MBA is INR 14 lakh. This information is sourced from official website/ sanctioning body and is subject to change. The course fee is the amount that students need to pay to confirm their seat after selection rounds. Besides, there is a registration fee that aspirants need to pay in the start. The application fee is INR 1,200 for MBA course. Candidates can pay the fee via any of the online payment modes.

Candidates need to pass MAT, CMAT, CAT, GMAT, GRE, etc. for getting admission to PES University MBA. Candidates who have not appeared for any of the accepted entrance exam can apply for PESSAT conducted by the university. PESSAT or People's Education Society Scholastic Aptitude Test is conducted by PES University in online mode. It is a three hours test conducted for shortlisting candidates for MBA admission. The question paper incorporate questions of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English. There are four different sections wherein Physics and Mathematics sections will encompass 60 questions each and Chemistry and English section will comprise of 40 and 20 questions respectively.

Step: 1 Visit the official website of PESSAT and click on the ‘Admission’ tab.

Step 2: Choose the course in which you wish to seek admission.

Step 3: Fill in your details like your name, date of birth, mobile number, and email ID in the appeared registration form and hit the 'Submit' button.

Step 4: Make a payment of INR 1,200 as an application fee. Once the fee payment is done, enter the transaction number and tap 'proceed to Fill Application' link to complete the application process.

Step 5: Proceed with application form and upload the scanned images of your recent passport-size photograph, thumb impression and other necessary enclosures in JPG/ JPEG format.

Step 6: Verify all your filled details and hit 'Submit' to conclude the application process.

As per the media reports, PES University highest package offered during 2023 placements was INR 65 LPA. The official salary details are yet to be disclosed. Meanwhile, the course-wise median package offered during 2023 placements is tabulated below:

During 2023 PES University MBA placements, 284 out of 369 students were placed. It makes the placement rate 77%. Comparing the last three years' data (2021 to 2023), an improving trend was recorded in the MBA placement rate. PES University CAT Cutoff 2024 is yet to be released. The Cutoff will soon be released after the CAT results are out. Last year, the CAT percentile required for MBA admission was 50, for the General All India category candidates. The percentile requirement has remained constant for the past 3 years. PES University also accepts Karnataka PGCET rank for MBA admission. In 2023, the required PGCET rank for PES University was 575.

The University has maintained a good placement record in recent years. The placement rate for BTech was the same in 2021 and 2022, however, it dropped by 4% in 2023. On the other hand, the year-on-year improving trend was recorded in the percentage of MTech students placed. Apart from CAT scores, PES University admission 2023 to MBA course is based on Karnataka PGCET 2023 score. As per the past year trends for GM category, candidates seeking admission to PES University must score between 213 and 255. In 2020, PES University Karnataka PGCET cutoff was 213, in 2021 it was 228 and in 2022 it was 255. On analysing the trends for MBA cutoffs have been increasing. As per the latest notification KEA website, Karnataka PGCET admissions process will now be conducted on Sep 24 for MBA admissions between 2:30 PM and 4:30 PM.
