Satisfied because of the opportunities available and with the well going progress.

Placements: The placements for electronics and communication engineering students in the core stream isn't that great, though companies like Texas Instruments, SanDisk, etc., come for placements. The placements in non-core areas are comparatively higher with companies like Goldman Sachs, McKinsey, Amazon, etc., being some of the recruiters.

Infrastructure: The whole campus is Wi-Fi enabled and speeds going up to 15 MBPS on an average. Newly built academic block and the classrooms are very well made and equipped with projectors, A/Cs etc. The library is pretty vast. There is a government-operated dispensary on the campus. There are provisions for the majority of sports and games be it indoor or outdoor. The labs of electronics department are very well-equipped, and there are specialised labs set up in the tie-up with Intel and Videocon as well. Instead of a college canteen, there's a whole market inside the campus including a Nescafe and CCD outlet selling things at lower prices compared to other outlets as well.

Faculty: The faculty is well-qualified with most professors being M.Tech and PhD scholars. Most professors teach the syllabus through offline and interactive digital medium as well. All the professors are approachable and once can personally meet them in the offices to clear the doubts. The standard of teaching is good. The industrial tour is organised at the end of the third semester to expose students to the working environment of industries. Apart from it, one semester is dedicated to internships.

Other: Joining PEC University of Technology was one of the best decisions I took in my life. Being in Chandigarh helps you get exposure along with an environment of learning. I was a member of 4 clubs in my college which helped me develop my soft skills and become more confident as a person. Also, I was able to be a part of many NGOs and societies around the city. Moreover, PEC being in Chandigarh also provides one with various learning channels for preparing for GRE, GMAT, CAT etc. Talking about the branches one can opt for in PEC, I would recommend you to go for the branch you are passionate about but PEC is not famous for its civil, metallurgy and average placement packages for these branches is relatively lower than average in other branches for last few years. This is not an absolute career pattern and only the initial placement package. People are very successful in civil and metallurgy branches as well. On the whole I would say it is going to be a good decision joining one of the oldest and most reputed colleges in the nation.

Other: One of the great place for studying engineering, big library and chances to interact with all department faculties in university. Teachers are very talented in university campus and they are ready to co-operate with students even if you are not from their department. If you have self-learning ability and want to research, it is the best place, as compare to other university departments engineering faculties are not experienced and not research oriented even you may get forward through help of other department faculties and teacher. 1200 Acre campus with great nature and lot of place for study, very good hostel and mess facility. Internet connection also available for study purpose at library.
