Dissatisfied with the crowd. There are 0 placements and poor facilities.
Placements: The placement percentage is very low, varying from 3-4%. The college is not very placement-oriented. Packages offered are not high. Only a few students got placed with an average package of 1.5 LPA. The highest package is 2 LPA. The lowest package is 0.7 LPA. Companies that visit the college are Kotak, Tech Mahindra, Dell, and other small firms. Internships are cracked by some students on their own, so there is no official number. The top roles offered are web developer, software developer, and cybersecurity.
Infrastructure: Facilities available on campus are few. Classrooms are good and spacious. There is no Wi-Fi access for college students. The library is also quite good. The environment is peaceful, but there is no air-conditioned facility in either the library or classrooms. There is a gym and sports complex in the college, which is good. The college has one hostel for girls only. The hostel doesn't have AC rooms. Although rooms are good. The food is average. There are medical facilities, but there is no dedicated space for games or sports.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful. They help students with their syllabus. They are highly qualified, and the teaching staff is good, but there are some exceptions. The course curriculum is relevant and teaches the required skills for the industry. The syllabus is updated. Semester exams are moderately difficult. The pass percentage is 70%, which is average due to the great difficulty in some exams.
Other: I chose this course because I am interested in technology. In my 12th class, I opted for Biology instead of mathematics, so I have no option but to do BCA. The best thing is that this course opens doors to technology for every student, irrespective of their background. The course should be taught at a more advanced level and provide more knowledge of software in depth. There are no major events on the campus. Only the youth fest is conducted once a year. The crowd is not that good. There are no major extracurricular activities.

Teachers are top-notch, infrastructure is mediocre at best, and placements are not great.
Placements: About 30 percent of students got placed last year. The highest package is nearly 6 LPA and the lowest is 2.8 LPA. Top recruiter is Excellence Technology Chandigarh. About 40 percent of students got internships in my course, in my case the company is Excellence Technology. Top roles are digital marketing executive, graphic designer, social media executive, and more.
Infrastructure: Labs are available but most of the computers don't work and the ones that work are good as nothing. Classrooms are alright with basic facilities. The library is also good enough. In the case of hostel rooms most students have single rooms without sharing, common washrooms, water cooler, washing machines, and a medical dispensary although the games and sports are very much valued.
Faculty: Most teachers are Ph.D. holders so this department is top-notch. The teaching quality is also very good for half the teachers including the HOD and the other half is alright. The course curriculum is decent for today's relevance I wouldn't say it's the worst but it can be better for students to be industry-ready. It's not that great. Semester exams are moderate depending on the semester sometimes easy and tough as well. The passing percentage is based on SGPA which is the ISC grade.
Other: I chose this course because I had a good knowledge of mathematics and computer science. The best thing about this course would be that it's very open so there are a lot of opportunities after graduation. I think better computer labs and more specifically computers and Wi-Fi connection by the college would be great. Events and fests are great during the previous HOD but now anything rarely happens. Campus crowd, connectivity, and surroundings are good enough. The scholarships are available as it is a government college and extracurricular activities were also good during the previous HOD.

Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) - Batch of 2026

2.4
2.0Placements3.0Infrastructure3.0Faculty1.0Crowd & Campus Life3.0Value for Money
From my point of view, DAV is a good college in this regard.
Placements: There is a placement cell in college, but I didn't see anyone there; I don't think any student gets a good placement from this college. If you are doing or want to do a course like BBA or BCA, then inquire about placement from teachers, old students, college staff, and other sources.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is like 3 stars, but some classes are under renovation; the college needs to complete them before the new session starts. There is also a lack of good sitting areas/benches on campus and in the college canteen for students who are free during lectures, and there is no Wi-Fi facility. The library is also average.
Faculty: Everything is fine, but at exam time or during roll number issue time, there is so much rush. They need to solve this problem by putting more teachers on duty at that time. About exams, this is a good thing in college: the exams are not that difficult, and there is a good environment during exams.
Other: In 2026, there is no free Wi-Fi on campus, and drinking water facilities are also average, with a lack of seating places on campus during free lectures.

Almost everything is good and budget-friendly there.
Placements: There are 50% of students placed in our college, and the highest package is 40,000 per year for this course. Students got internships, and we visit the courts. Our teachers are very helpful, and financially weak students can benefit from the post-matric scholarship scheme.
Infrastructure: There are two departments of law in Punjab University, Patiala, and the B.A. LL.B. and LL.B. programs are well provided. The rooms available are very neat and clean, and the study environment is very good. Students enjoy early moments, and the available facilities are good along with the faculty members.
Faculty: Circular activities are mostly performances, and youth festivals are held there. Students enjoy every moment and like each and every teacher. The teachers are helpful by nature and friendly with the students. The faculty members are also good.

It is a very good college to join in.
Placements: There is no placement given to students in our college in any department, but there are internships given to the students of the law department if they want to join the law field or court in their 3rd or 4th year. Individuals can join the college internship group on their own.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is also good for you. Food is very good, and facilities are also provided in the college. There is a hostel where students can get their daily meals in the morning, evening, and during the afternoons, as well as have access to sports and games.
Faculty: Teachers are very good, qualified, and knowledgeable, and their teaching system is very effective. The student industry is good, and semester exams are not that difficult compared to yearly exams during 12th or 10th exams, comparatively.
Other: The law department is well organised. I chose this department because it is very good and progressing. There are scholarships provided to scheduled caste persons, but not to general category students.

Just for getting a degree, it's good, because of the low fees, otherwise not recommended.
Placements: Right now I'm in my second year of the course. The placement companies are not very good, most of them require 12th pass students, and the average salary package is 2-2.5 LPA. Students with 60% get placed. Hotel management students sometimes get internships, while other course students have less chance of internships.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is average. Wi-Fi and a lab are available. Classroom condition is average, and in some places, the benches are not good. In the hostel, mess is not provided, so students make their own food. Medical facilities, sports, and games are nearly equal to zero.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and knowledgeable, but the teaching quality is not as good as their qualifications. New courses under NEP are good, and the syllabus is new for making students industry-ready. Exams are extremely difficult to pass compared to other universities, especially the NEP courses. Almost all students get backlogs in every semester.
Other: I chose this course because it is NEP and not the old syllabus. They teach the new things with practicals (rarely). The best thing about this course is the syllabus, and in some subjects, they even lack it. Like in the fourth semester, they are teaching the C+ programs without teaching the basics in previous semesters. All the students get a backlog, that's simply not possible. They should take a look at this issue. No fest happens here. One major event is hosted in a year. Campus surroundings are pretty good, and there is a hospital and police station, as well as a gurudwara.
