SNU Chennai BCom admissions take place through the SNUCEE entrance exam and personal interview round conducted by the institution. The admission process for both BCom - General and BCom - Professional Accounting is the same. Application process is online and candidates must appear for the entrance exam. Apply for admission

Candidates seeking admission into the institution should apply for admission through the SNU Chennai website. The application process is completely online and candidates who have fulfilled the basic eligibility for BCom can visit the official website and submit the application form with various supporting documents. The application fee to apply for admission to BCom at SNU Chennai is INR 1,500.

Appear for SNUCEE and Personal Interview

Candidates who have applied for admission to SNU Chennai should appear for the SNU Chennai entrance exam (SNUCEE). It is based on the SNUCEE score that candidates are selected for the PI round. The PI is taken by the faculty of the institution and is the final round of the selection process for admission.

Pay the tuition fees

Candidates who have cleared the PI round should pay the full fees of INR 7.91 lakh. Admission to the university is confirmed only after payment of full fees. The total fees include:

• Tuition fee of INR 7.5 lakh
• Refundable caution deposit of INR 20,000
• Non-refundable application fee of INR 1,500
• CDC Fee of INR 6,000
• Admission fee of INR 20,000.

SNU Chennai offers various scholarships to help candidates fund their BCom at SNU Chennai. The university offers various scholarships which are merit-based as well as need-based. Scholarships other than academic are also provided by the university.

The scholarships at SNU Chennai are:

Merit Scholarship: Given to only one student from each year who has been the top scorer across all the UG courses or SNUCEE entrance exam. It is based on the performance in the preceding year’s examination at the university. This scholarship can only be availed when one is a student of the university.

Merit-cum-Means Scholarship: Given to candidates who are coming from families with an annual family income of INR 3LPA or less. A candidate has to clear both SNUCEE and Personal Interview Round to be eligible for this scholarship. As part of the scholarship, a fee waiver is given of 75% to first-generation learners and 50% to non-first-generation learners on the tuition fee.

Walk-in-Walk-out Scholarship: This scholarship is given to students who have been top ten rank holders in State Board or Central Board examinations. As part of the scholarship, candidates can avail a fee waiver throughout the entire duration of the programme.

Sports Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded to candidates with outstanding records in sports. Candidates who have participated in National and International level competitions conducted by accredited Sports Boards are eligible for these scholarships.
