The final selection of students for the SPA Delhi BPlan programme is subject to verification of documents. Thus, students must report to the institute with the following documents for verification purposes:

• Class 10 and 12 marksheets
• Copy of Aadhaar Card
• Copy of admit card issued by the JEE Main
• Transfer certificate
• Migration certificate
• Category certificate
• Physical fitness certificate
• Anti-ragging affidavits

The school shortlist students for the M.Arch course based on a few parameters. Candidates' score in GATE/CEED, portfolio of work, personal interaction with faculty and/or written test, interest and motivation for the chosen study and work experience are the parameters for selection. At the time of admission, students have to submit the scorecard of the entrance test, pass certificates for academic records, etc. or the school holds the right to cancel the admission.

Once the students have submitted application forms the admission committee begins the screening process. All the registered students are evaluated based on their academic record work experience, area of study, and more. After that institute releases a merit with names of the students suited for the programme. Those who are offered admission must pay the admission fee.

Yes, SPA Delhi does follow a reservation policy while offering admissions to its BPlan programme. As per the policy, a total of 26 seats are reserved for the admission of candidates belonging to the underprivileged section of the society. Listed below is the complete breakdown of the SPA Delhi reservation policy for the UG courses, including BPlan:

• 07 seats are reserved for candidates belonging to the SC category
• 03 seats are reserved for candidates belonging to the ST category
• 12 seats are reserved for candidates belonging to the OBC category
• 04 seats are reserved for candidates belonging to the EWS category

Students must note that 5% of seats under SC, ST, and OBC categories are reserved for Physically Challenged Persons on a horizontal basis. Moreover, one seat in the BPlan programme is reserved for Kashmiri Migrants.

The application forms for SPA Delhi PhD courses are available throughout the year. Interested students must apply for the programme. Moreover, the applications received by the institute are processed twice a year at the start of either semester (January/July) of an academic session. School of Planning and Architecture (SPA) Delhi offers a full-time Master of Architecture (M.Arch) course of a two-year duration. Admission to the PG course is based on valid GATE or CEED scores. SPA Delhi offers MArch in three specialisations, including Architectural Conservation, Landscape Architecture, and Urban Design. The final selection for admission to this course is based on performance in the qualifying exam, portfolio of work, personal interaction with faculty and/or written test, interest and motivation for the chosen study and work experience. The key highlights of the MArch course is tabulated below:

Candidates seeking admission to the SPA Delhi BArch course shall have passed Class 12 with the required aggregate or have a diploma. Eligible students can fill out the application form. The selection is done based on the applicant’s score in JEE Main/DASA UG. Further, students taking admission through JEE have to go through JoSAA/CSAB counselling procedure as well.

School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi grants M.Arch admissions considering the applicants' performance in the qualifying exam, portfolio of work, personal interaction with faculty and/or written test, interest and motivation for the chosen study, and work experience. SPA Delhi has released the cutoff for BPlan admission. The institute offers admission to the course based on JEE Main scores. As per the available cutoff data, the JEE Main last round closing rank for General-All India students was 1458. The closing rank for the same category of admissions in 2023 was 503.

The distribution of SPA Delhi BPlan seats is subject to rules of reservation. As per the reservation policy followed by the institute, a total of 10 seats are reserved for the admission of SC/ST category students to its BPlan course. Out of which, 07 seats are reserved for SC students and 03 are reserved for admission of ST students. Moreover, 5% seats are reserved for Physically Challenged Persons on horizontal basis.

Candidates seeking admission to the SPA Delhi MPlan course must have a valid score in either of the accepted entrance exams - GATE, CEED, or UGC NET. However, students must note that the entrance test scores are not the deciding factor. The selection depends on various other factors too, including performance in the qualifying exam, a portfolio of work, personal interaction with faculty and/or a written test, interest and motivation for the chosen study, and work experience.

SPA Delhi offers BArch course specially designed for candidates who wants to pursue their career in Architecture stream. The subjects covered in first semester are given below for your reference:

The aspirants must fill out the SPA Delhi application form to be eligible for admission. Further, candidates who are applying for BArch and BPlan courses will be allotted seats basis their performance in JEE Main. For PG course admissions, candidates must have a bachelor's degree in the relevant field of study with 55% aggregate (50% for SC/ST/OBC). Moreover, the application form is available online and offline.

Admission to most of the programmes of SPA Delhi is entrance-based. The institute considers scores in GATE/ CEED for M.Arch and MPlan, JEE Main (Paper-II)/ DASA UG for BArch, CEED for MDes and JEE Main (Paper-II) for BPlan programmes. Hence, entrance exam scores are required for admission in UG or PG courses at the institute. Selected candidates are requirement to participate in the counselling rounds and pay the course fee to confirm their seat in the institute.

The total cost to pursue the MDes at SPA Delhi is calculated by adding all fee components included in fee structure. As per the structure it is around INR 2.77 lakh.
