Placements: I’m from B.Teach CSE (AI & ML), 2022-2026 batch. Placements have only recently begun for my batch. Based on the 2025 batch, about 85% got placed with 5 to 6 LPA on average, 15 to 18 LPA the highest (on campus), and 3 LPA the lowest. About 60 to 70% got internship offers through startups, research labs, or referrals. Roles were like SDE, ML engineer, analyst, DevOps, etc.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi depends on your luck; some areas and labs have great networks, others not so much. The library isn't much of a library, but it has good computers for things like IEEE site access, which you will need later for paper publication. Classrooms are not bad; all are pretty neat and clean.

Faculty: Some teachers are almost overqualified, while others kind of sit around and let you do your own thing. Some are strict, others are super chill. It depends on your luck. Frankly speaking, you've got to learn industry-level subjects on your own; don't depend on SRM to teach you something better than on YouTube. Passing the exams should be a breeze; the internals themselves are 60 marks, so just try not to screw up too badly, and scoring 9.0+ should not be difficult.

Other: I chose AIML because it's the course of the future with the AI boom and all. The best part is placements; we get access to basically all the companies. It would be better if we were to take on a more practical and hands-on approach than the current theory-focused examinations on AI. College fests are honestly pretty bland, but that's a general opinion. You might enjoy it with friends; just know it's not exactly as grand as KTR campus or NITs, IITs.

It is one of the best colleges.

Placements: The placements are good, and if you have programming skills, you will get into a good company. The top companies, such as Microsoft, Amazon, and some international companies, have come for the placements, and placement takes place in the main campus, which is the KTR campus. It is good.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, and it would have been better if we had basketball courts and football turf. The new building, which has been constructed, has new and well-conditioned ACs, and there are two lifts. The canteen is also properly maintained.

Faculty: Teachers teach well, and every faculty member is very well-experienced and has a Ph.D. degree themselves. They communicate well with every student and interact. They solve the doubts, and you can easily clarify the solutions. Overall, the faculty is good at teaching.

You have to build your own skillset.

Placements: As compared to the previous years, the rate of placements has dropped. High salary packages have drastically decreased. College isn't providing skills up to the mark. The fee is more than 3 lakhs per year, but you won't get a guaranteed placement. It's true that many companies do visit SRM but the employers need skills that you won't have if you depend on the college.

Infrastructure: As per the fees you are paying (3 lakhs + in my case which has increased now), you won't be satisfied with the infrastructure. There is no AC in the classrooms. Most of the old labs don't have proper air-conditioned systems and desktops (new ones have as of now).

Faculty: The curriculum and syllabus are interesting and seem as per the industry standards with some real life implementation. But most of the faculty members don't teach properly. Most of them don't even have proper subject knowledge. But the good thing is they would award you good marks if you manage to write something relatable, so if you put in a little effort also you would be able to make a good to go CGPA (of course there are some irritating faculty members who won't bother about your CGPA, but thankfully they are very less).

Other: Don't have such a good campus life. For a good campus life, it's better you go to the Katagulantur campus. CSBS is a good course if you want to have technical knowledge along with some business insights. If you work hard without being dependent on the university and not expecting anything from the university, you will end up with something very good.

Overall a good college to pursue your UG or PG degree.

Placements: The placements in SRM are excellent, and it offers various packages. Every year, SRM almost reaches 90% of placements in every department. The top recruiting company of my course is Bosch, with a package of more than 10 LPA and many other software companies too.

Infrastructure: The classrooms are good, but the maintenance of the restrooms is quite bad. Every classroom has a smart board. The classrooms don't contain Wi-Fi, but the library does. The library is as big as it can be, and it has various books, ranging from comics to books in every department.

Faculty: The faculty members are friendly and their lectures are great. They help in placements and guide us on the right path to success. The college has various clubs, ranging from coding club to cinematography. Moving into sports is a bit complicated in this college, as it only contains an indoor sports arena and not a field.

Other: The events are fabulous, but the crowd management is quite bad. The course I am pursuing is ECE, and it offers various companies. The lab facilities are good with quality materials.

Review of SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai - Ramapuram Campus.

Placements: Actually, my college placements are good. The highest package is 48 LPA, and the average package ranges from 7-9 LPA. The lowest package is 4 LPA. Mostly, IT companies visit our college, and the core companies that visit are comparatively low. Most companies like TCS, Wipro, Microsoft, Honeywell, etc., hire students.

Infrastructure: SRM University Ramapuram hostel is good, but the hostel fee is very high. Many other state students are there in the hostel. The infrastructure is too good. It has a digital library. Labs are very equipped, but Wi-Fi is not available on campus. The hostel food is average, but the canteen is very good.

Faculty: SRM University's curriculum is totally different, with 60 marks internal exams conducted for M1, M2, and practical marks, and the external exam is for 40 marks. College faculty members are knowledgeable and helpful for placements. Yearly, twice, industrial visits are conducted. Staff members are very helpful with placements.
