SRM: A college of lost potential.
Placements: The placements at the college are notably good. Most of the students get placed in this branch of SRM. The highest package offered is around 41lpa whereas the lowest package is nearly 3-4lpa. Top recruiting companies are Flipkart, Amazon, TCS etc. The top roles offered are of software engineers and data scientists.
Infrastructure: Classrooms of the college are average and not in a very good condition. Only the ground floor classrooms are in desirable conditions. Library of the college is nice as it can at least provide books of all types required. Hostel condition is not so good as the food of mess is not well.
Faculty: Faculty members of my course are well and good as they have good subject knowledge and are also very helpful and supportive in project management and project works. The course curriculum is also relevant and good enough to give an idea about the industry and what skills are required to get hired.

Our campus should be better in all aspects.
Placements: Almost 99% of students got placed in our course. The highest salary package offered was around 42 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA. The average salary package offered was 7 LPA. The top recruiting companies are TCS, Fractal, PCW, etc. Around 70% of students got internships in this college. The top roles offered are data science analytics, etc.
Infrastructure: Hostels are in a very bad condition with a huge scope for improvement.
Faculty: Teachers are very good. They are also helpful and supportive. They also help us with all the projects. The course curriculum is relevant with all the necessary information. Semester exams are moderate and the passing percentage is high.
Other: I opted for this course because I wanted to go into the business field.

The campus is full of opportunities.
Placements: Placements are good in this college as all placement camps are done at the main campus (KTR Campus). They offer us plenty of opportunities as many big companies come here for placements. There are categories according to packages that are super dream offers of more than 20 LPA, and dream offers of 12 LPA to 20 LPA. Mass recruiters are Wipro, Infosys, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good and has big playgrounds, sports clubs, and a good amount of greenery on the whole campus. The classrooms are good. There is air conditioning in every room. Smart classes are also here. Labs and their maintenance are good. The canteens are good and have a decent menu. The hostel is above average as there are two types of rooms in hostels; the first one is air-conditioned and the second one is non-air-conditioned. The air-conditioned hostel rooms are good in space and facilities, whereas non-air-conditioned hostels are just above the government standard. Hostel wardens and other staff are supportive in nature. Security is high for students as many guards and bouncers are deployed on hostel premises. The gym is there. All the machines are working and in fine condition, but their maintenance is poor.
Faculty: Faculty members are good, knowledgeable, and very highly skilled. All teachers are good by nature and very supportive and understanding with students. The non-teaching staff are also very helpful. The course curriculum is to the point and appropriately engineering-oriented. The computer science and business systems stream make students industry-ready as the syllabus includes business communication, economics, financial statements, excel skills, etc., along with the general B.Tech syllabus. Semesters are not so difficult in terms of examinations, though the passing criteria is 50%. There are four examinations in one semester: three-cycle tests and the last university test. The paper comes from the KTR Campus. Students have to pass every cycle test plus a university test to pass the semester. This process makes students skillful, knowledgeable, and hard-working.
Other: I've chosen this course because I want to be industry-ready with a glimpse of business systems. The best thing about this course is that it makes students confident and skillful, as many extracurricular activities are done in this course. Many practical life subjects are also taught, along with B.Tech subjects like financial statements, business communication, etc. This course develops soft skills that make students ready for interviews and different real-life experiences. Events are organised by different societies, like dance clubs, art clubs, music clubs, etc. Fests like rubaroo are done here in which popular celebrities perform on this campus. Extracurricular activities and sports are promoted and fully supported by our dean of campus. Teams compete with different colleges. The crowd is good and comes from all over India, like from Jammu and Kashmir to Kanyakumari and from Arunachal Pradesh to Gujarat. There are many students and there is a large diversity of students as they come from every state of India.
