B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2028

Is SRM worth the money in the long run?
Placements: 74% of students are placed in our college. 65 LPA is the highest package offered, and 9 LPA is the average, with around 3,700 students being placed. The highest package was offered for a quant developer role. Research internships and grants are available within the college, and they help to collaborate with other colleges.
Infrastructure: Hostels vary in quality a lot depending on which one you pick, but hostels and mess are hygienic compared to other colleges. Mess has a good variety, but the quality of food goes down the further down the semester you are. They also provide a gym, which usually stays crowded but has good equipment.
Faculty: Most teachers are helpful with research, academic attendance and general guidance. Your faculty advisor can help you get internships and other opportunities. SRM has allotted 60% of marks, making it easy to get a good CGPA and semester exams are generally easy to prepare for.

Good college overall but very crowded. Good for college life.
Placements: This college advertises an almost 100 percent placement rate but those numbers may or may not be true. Criteria may have been altered to reach those numbers. I have seen many seniors get placed in decent companies. They have also mentioned their peers getting placed.
Infrastructure: Classes, even the most basic ones for first years, are all equipped with big smartboards for better learning. The buildings reserved for regular classes of 2nd year onwards also have great AC and an elevator. All buildings are equipped with lifts. Labs are also well-equipped with powerful computers. The library has a high-tech verification system and plenty of inventory. Wi-Fi is great in hostels as well as in classrooms. Speed may often cross 1 Gbps. Mess is okay. Medical facilities are great with a huge hospital on campus. Many sports facilities are also available.
Faculty: Faculty may vary. The course curriculum is not as modern as some of the newer institutes but the content is very detailed and comprehensive covering a huge number of topics. Semester exams are easy even easier than class tests. Grading is very lenient in semester exams. The pass percent is 50 percent.
Other: Very crowded but good experience overall.

B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering - Batch of 2029

I am absolutely dissatisfied because their way of teaching is very bad.
Placements: Students from electronics and communication are placed in well-known companies by developing skills in SRM. The placement opportunities are also good and can be better in the upcoming years. The maximum number of campus opportunities is more. The offline parameters should be impactful and a more restful way for students to go into their favourite companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of classrooms is okay, but it should be improved. It should concentrate more on labs and old classrooms to make us feel better.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and supportive. Their teaching quality is very good. The course curriculum is good. Semester exams are average, and we can score above 9 percent with more hard work. The support from teachers is good.
Other: Fests of the campus are good and can be further developed.

Our college is very good and better than other colleges.
Placements: 90 percent of students get placed. The highest package offered is 50 LPA. The average package offered is 5 LPA. 50 percent of students got internships. The top course offered is CSE this. It is the best college. In college, all students get placed. It offers better internships.
Infrastructure: Facilities are very good in our college. The hostel is available. We get the best food in the canteen. The infrastructure available in the college canteen is the best. Labs and classrooms are very good.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful in all subjects. Semester exams are easy. The pass percentage is 60-90 percent. Semester exams are very important for students.
Other: Fests are super in our college. The crowd is full. The campus surroundings are good. Scholarships and extracurricular activities are better in our college. It should improve the college fests.

Is SRM worth spending our time and money on?
Placements: Placements are quite good, and many of my seniors got placed. 75 percent of students get placements, and that seemed quite good to me. The highest package offered is 12 LPA, and the lowest package offered is 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course are ABB, Alstom, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and hostel facilities are top-tier. Classrooms have access to a smart board. We can access the college Wi-Fi from anywhere in the college and hostel, and it can only be used for educational purposes. The hostel is also quite good, and the food they provide is also quite good. They take into consideration both North and South students. Medical facilities are good as there is a hospital inside the college. Sports facilities are also very good.
Faculty: Many teachers are qualified and are exceptional in their subjects. Some teachers are not good, and even after reporting them, no action is taken. The course curriculum is very much up-to-date and is up to the ongoing trends. We can become industry-ready if we put in some effort from our side. Semester exams are quite easy and can be passed with planned preparation.

A quick review for SRMKTR.
Placements: My batch is AK2 and I really don't know about placements because this is my first year. I heard they give really good placements though. The highest I heard is 5.2 LPA. The top recruiting company I heard of is TCS. About internships in my class, we are only reaching 1st year so we have yet to know.
Infrastructure: The quality is above average compared to other private colleges. There is Wi-Fi, a library, and tons of other labs like semiconductor, electrical engineering, and many more available. The quality of food is really good considering other colleges. There is even an SRM hospital nearby and other sports and games are also available here.
Faculty: The teaching quality is above average also considering the faculty members are average only because it is not that good to be honest. The course for 1st year isn't really that relevant but the other years will make you industry-ready. That pass percentage is 80 to 85 percent. It isn't really that hard if you come to study.
Other: I personally chose this course because I have been really passionate about ethical hacking and computers since my childhood. My suggestion would be to instead of writing down the coding in a notebook, make it a more interactive session so we could learn faster and it would be more efficient. There are a lot of games and events here especially a huge one called Milan where celebrities would come and perform.
