BSc in Agriculture helps students develop an understanding of agricultural Science and related topics such as crop management, horticulture, soil science, sericulture and more.  In addition to this, students must also pursue various skill-based courses to become industry-ready.

One of the best ways to do so without hampering the college classes is to pursue online courses. Moreover, students can also look out for various internships and live projects to get some hands-on experience. Students can pursue projects where they engage with a particular village and work towards its development.

As per the TNAU Overall NIRF Report 2024, a total of 312 UG (4-year) students were placed during recent 2023 placements. Moreover, The median package offered to UG (4-year) students stood at INR 3.70 LPA. In addition to this, some of the reputed recruiters who participated in the recent placements included Shrishti BioScience, Mahindra and Mahindra, IDFC Bank, and many others.

The eligibility criteria for admission to all the undergraduate and postgraduate programme is different at TNAU. As per the basic eligibility criteria for admission to UG programmes, the candidates must have qualified class 12 or equivalent exam with a minimum of fifty percent aggregate. While for admission to PG programmes candidates must have completed graduation with a minimum of fifty percent aggregate in the relevant discipline.
