Review of Tezpur University - TEZU.

Placements: As this department comes under the school of humanities and social sciences, companies like Paper True, Quaqua, etc., visited the campus for placements. Other departments like MBA and school of engineering get better opportunities from top companies.

Infrastructure: The university is spread over 262 acres. It is situated 15 km away east of Tezpur town. There are other amenities, like a student's activity centre, swimming pool facility, etc., are available here. There is a huge green field where various events like a football match, a cricket match, are conducted along with different fests.

Faculty: The course of linguistics is new as compared to other courses. However, it is growing as new projects and researches are being carried out on different kinds of endangered languages. Faculty members of the department are very kind and friendly. They are helpful and specialised in their respective areas such as phonetics and phonology, morphology, syntax, cognitive linguistics and cognitive linguistics.

Other: The annual week is conducted in the month of January-February. Inscignis is held during the month of September-October. TechXetra is held during November.
