Overall the experience at the university was good.
Placements: Almost 70% of our batchmates got placed. Top companies were Zaloni and HP with stating salary package of 5 LPA. Most of them were placed as software engineers in the companies. Rest are pursuing their PhD from reputed institutes like NITs and IITs. I am satisfied with the placements.
Infrastructure: Classrooms and hostels were well furnished, and the Wi-Fi facility was very effective. Labs were open 24x7 for students and were well managed. Food qualities and other facilities in the mess were adequate. Sports and games were very much encouraged at the university. Overall, the college is good.
Faculty: Teachers in our college were very effective and knowledgeable. The courses were designed so that students become ready for the practical arena of industries. Even they are ready for pursuing a career in teaching. Few are interested in pursuing PhDs and joined premier institutes of India.

The college has good infrastructure, but the course needs to be updated as per industry standards.
Placements: For our batch, the placement scenario is better than the previous batches, but there is more room for improvement. Only 25% of the students got placed until now from the M.Tech course. The highest salary package offered was 6 LPA, and the lowest was 4 LPA. The average salary package offered was 4.5 LPA. Companies like Intel, Synopsys, and GE Healthcare, etc., visited the campus for placements. Roles are offered for internships. Some full-time jobs are also provided here. There is a placement cell. The newly formed placement cell for School of Engineering is doing its best to invite companies to the campus.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is one of the best in northeast India. The Wi-Fi facility is good. Classrooms are decent. Labs need to be improved. The medical facility also needs to get improved. As far as games and sports are concerned, there are many facilities like gyms, indoor stadiums, etc. There is no general canteen available on the campus. Private hotels are available there. Hostel rooms are very good and clean. I am not facing any issues regarding the infrastructure of the college.
Faculty: Some teachers in the college are helpful. But most of them are not helpful. The course curriculum needs to be changed. There is no industry based course curriculum for M.Tech. The curriculum is outdated. There are some subjects which are of no use to students. Some courses related to VLSI and EDA need to be started.
Other: Events like Techxetra, Science Day, and Insignis, etc., are conducted in the college.

This is a mesmerizing university. Campus is spread over 232 acres with lush green environment.
Placements: As our department is newly started, placements for the students of M.Tech are lame at this moment of time. But the placements are improving slowly. Placements are good for B.Tech students and M.Tech students studying electronics and IT. Students of M.E./M.Tech department are more likely to get placed in Cummins, India. However, the placement opportunities are increasing every year.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is incredible. You get all the facilities that you need. The labs are well-equipped. The best part about this university is that you are not only provided with mechanical instrumental clusters but also with the computational environment. Computer labs are equipped with licensed software like Catia, Ansys, Matlab, Autocad, and Comsol, etc. If you're short with some equipment, you can use this type of software.
Faculty: The faculty members are very generous towards work culture, and you will not find any professor sitting idol. The work culture over here is very good. I'm glad to be a part of this university. They clear your doubts during the specific time given by the professors or during class hours.
Other: Events are organised frequently and are open to everyone. The college organises events like quizzes, sports events, cultural events, rallies, and conferences etc.

Other: It is a good college but needs its T&P cell to be more active about placements and rules and regulations need to be more liberal for the students. Faculty recruitment in the college should not be only based on his or her qualification, but more importantly on his or her teaching and communication skills.

Other: This year TU receive the best university award from president of India. All the graduate and post graduate course are exceptionally good under the guidance of great faculties and most importantly the Vice Chancellor. He has done a remarkable job to bring the university at this level.

Good university with otherwise bad placements.
Placements: The placements are very poor, especially for the M.Tech courses. Although a few companies come for placements in CSE, other departments are not having sufficient placements. During my time or stay in the M reach course there was no placement in my department. Not a single company came for placements.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility in the department was very good. The labs were well-equipped. MEMS lab is one of the only labs on the country. The classrooms are clean and beautiful. Although the food in the mess was good, it could have been better. Food is sometimes oily but overall it was a nice stay at TU.
Faculty: I won't be able to say anout other departments but the teachers are well qualified in my department. However, they rarely help out during final year projects and are mostly concerned about the results rather than concentrating on the students' problems.
Other: I chose this course because I found this line quite interesting. The annual Trchfest is TechXetra which is not celebrated nowadays. The campus is a lush green one.
