Tezpur University MSc is a two-year course offered across five specialisations. Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, are some of the specialisations offered under the MSc course.

Overall, the experience is positive, especially for those pursuing Masters and Ph.D. degrees.

Placements: It's not always 100 percent, but most of the engineering students got placed. Some were placed in prestigious positions like NASA, ISRO, etc. Almost all students secure internships in various companies. The oil sector predominantly recruits a larger number of students from the university.

Infrastructure: The labs need improvement; however, the classrooms are excellent. The university boasts a sophisticated central library. Hostels are hygienic and can accommodate approximately 450 students each. The health center remains active for students at all times. The sports facilities are very good.

Faculty: The teachers are very good and helpful, with teaching quality above average. The semesters are challenging, with numerous exams, assignments, and presentations making the academic schedule quite hectic. Nevertheless, this structure helps students in their post-academic life.

Other: The teachers are very helpful and friendly. There's a need for improvement in the labs, and extracurricular activities and scholarships are beneficial. The campus Wi-Fi exists, but the internet is very slow and requires an upgrade.

Strong academic foundation.

Placements: One can find employment in diverse roles like scientific writers, bioprocess engineers, production scientists, and research scientists. The internship during our batch was almost 90% done with the help of the university placement cell, with some also opting to find it independently.

Infrastructure: The campus is very safe; their are CCTV cameras present everywhere and there are also security guards at the main gate entrance. There are people who make sure that campus gets fully cleaned on a daily basis and for hostels, you have shared and single room options.

Faculty: The exams are a bit difficult but thanks to the faculty members, they make the class so interesting and engaging that by being in the class, you can learn a lot and by going through regular revision, passing becomes quite easy. The motto of the teachers is to make students successful.

Placements: Engineering, management and most other departments have a lot of placements. One must not feel left behind, as there are ample opportunities available. The T&P cell looks after these opportunities. They will bring the companies to offer you a job just after the completion of your course.

Infrastructure: Hostels are well maintained, with sprawling gardens of flowers and plants. Indoor sports and inter-hostel competitions make campus life intriguing. There are co-curricular activities and clubs like swimming, drama, quizzes, chess, and many more. There are incubation centers that promote new and creative ideas. There are fests held too where eminent artists perform.

Faculty: The curriculum is on par with that of top-notch institutes. The teaching-learning method is used by the professors. The course teaches you the requisite skills needed for the industry. There is a good engagement of the professors with the students and that makes learning easier and more effective.

It was a semester-based exam system.

Placements: For my course, Masters in Environmental Studies, a student is eligible for campus placement after 3 semesters, where the fourth semester is completely an internship, and sometimes students get jobs at places they can explore on their own. Companies related to safety and sustainability research offer internships. 95% of students get internships and employment; in history, all the students got the job.

Infrastructure: All the hostels are furnished with normal-sized, non-AC double rooms. Each student is provided with a B.Ed. chair, table, and wardrobe. There are facilities like washing machines in some hostels. The mess is run by the students. In the hostel, the meal quality is adequate, but the menu fluctuates depending on the student who runs it. The food is cooked according to standard hygiene, and it is family-provided. Hostels are assigned to all students at the time of admission. There are no extra hidden costs other than hostel admission and mess fees. There are numerous PGS and rooms outside the campus. The locality is loving and homely, as it is not completely urban.

Faculty: I chose this course because it has never-ending opportunities. Faculty members are extremely helpful and friendly. They solve every doubt, and they are very trained and always updated. They cover not just the syllabus but also other life skills and help us improve our CV. They use creative methods to teach, like activities, videos, and games. We also had yoga sessions during the pandemic, which had a bad impact on our mental health. Exams are not based on how much you remember. They are based on how you solve a problem. We have internal and theoretical papers. Practicals are graded immediately after and have continuous assessment, which makes you ready for all types of work. Students from Tezpur University get so industrially ready that we can handle every solution easily, trust me. I was an introvert and had no skills, but Tezpur University improved me. Class size:-40 Course fees: INR 40000 per year.

Pretty good infrastructure and very beautiful campus. Campus life is very enjoyable.

Placements: Placements in the university have been growing in the past few years. From the school of engineering the placements are very good. Though there were no placements from my course or department. They should look into this matter. I hope in the upcoming days there will be placements from our course too.

Infrastructure: The labs are very good. The department has Wi-Fi facilities and study room facilities. The department does not have its own library. But the central library has all the needed books. Some hostels are pretty good and some are average. All of the hostels have canteens. Food in the mess is average. Some hostels have good sports and games facilities.

Faculty: Yes, most teachers are helpful and friendly. Some of the teachers are very good at teaching. But some teachers lack the teaching knowledge. All the teachers are hardworking. The curriculum is relevant in the field of research. The exams are pretty tough. The pass percentage is very good.

Placements: Our college provides more placements in technical branches compared to academic branches. Our college provides many internships, and students can participate as per their wish. More than 40 students got 2 years of internship program from our course. The department of mathematical sciences has more than 40 students.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college and the hostel is good. Our college provides us with good facilities except for the xerox and printing is not free. Our department is closest to a library, canteen, xerox shops, snacks, fruit shops, etc. Our department has a small tea canteen. Classrooms are good and spacious. Each student can sit alone at one desk. The hostel is near the essential mart. All the required junk foods are available in the essential mart. The hostel has a small tea canteen. The water facility is good. The food served in the mess is better than in PGs. Our college has a health center. A few medicines and advice are free from the health center.

Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and experienced. They are always available for us if we have any doubts about topics. First, we discuss among ourselves then if required we proceed to their cabin for clarification of the required portion. Each semester is divided into 4-5 exams. Each of them is equally balanced which made us study almost every single day. The course is well-designed for any master's student. We can ask questions to teachers until we understand.

Other: Our college makes you feel frustrated in the first 5-6 months, but in the end, you will realise that the potential that made you survive was fully unaware to you. Our college organises functions and programs. Our college organises different cultural programs and ports. Our college prepares us for the upcoming life.
