Apart from JEE Main, TIET also accepts CAT/XAT/CMAT/MAT/GMAT/GRE/ Thapar Entrance Test for MBA and GATE for ME/ M.Tech admission. 

No, JEE Main is mandatory for BTech admission in Thapar University. The candidate should have a valid score in JEE Main and attend counseling to get a seat. But for other UG and PG courses such as MSc, MA, and MCA, admissions are made on a merit basis, i.e., JEE is not mandatory.
