Placements: This institute offers the best placement opportunities for students studying here. One can gain the best knowledge. The campus environment is well-suitable for studies, and it helps the students to grab the biggest opportunities in their lives. Proper knowledge is given here so that students get to place in the best companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is the best and well-equipped. The entire campus is air-conditioned. Buildings available on the campus are quite mesmerising. Our laboratories are equipped with all the advanced instruments that are necessary for students. Wi-Fi facilities are also available in hostels as well on the campus.
Faculty: Faculty members of this institute are well-educated, and they believe in spreading knowledge whatever they have for the benefit of students. Teachers are supportive, and they know how to convey a message to students in an interactive way. Smart ways of teaching are preferred here.
Other: Lots of events are organised here by different societies. The campus crowd is huge. Lots of extracurricular activities are also organised for students to become very active.

Review of Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology.
Placements: The college provides pretty decent placements. Students from B.Tech course have more opportunities of getting placed as compared to biotechnology. Since biotech is an emerging field and there are very few industries or job opportunities in the country. However, few organisations visit the campus for placements of biotechnology students. Apart from job placements, internships are also provided on campus.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is superb. The entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled. The campus has a shopping/food complex named COS with an open theatre. Each classroom has a projector facility. Few classrooms in the newly built buildings have an air-conditioning facility. All the labs are air-conditioned. The library is well equipped with all the required books. There is a separate section for all the scientific journals and review articles. There are a sports complex and an athletic track where students can go every evening to play some sports. There is a 24x7 ambulance facility on the campus.
Faculty: Faculty members of the biotechnology department are well qualified. All the faculty members are PhD holders, and most of them are post-doctorate. Their way of teaching is not conventional. They use visual aids and sounds along with computers, which makes learning more effective. They are always ready to take your doubts at any time you request them. The course curriculum is well designed for M.Sc. The course consists of 4 semesters in which three semesters are for course learning. One semester is for a dissertation where students have to write their own thesis.
Other: There are a lot of societies such as Frosh, Paryavaran, LitSoc, Saturnalia, Pratigya, Toast Masters, Mudra Society, etc. A student may join any of the society if they want to. There is a whole recruitment process that is conducted during the first few weeks of the beginning of the college. A lot of fests are conducted here. The most famous fests are Saturnalia, oFood fest and the fest organised by the Mudra Society. Campus crowd is pretty decent, and it is also diverse to some extents. The only drawback is the high fee structure. However, there are certain scholarships for you if you are a meritorious student or belonging to a low economic background.

Other: A wonderful college with lots of exposure. STEP and TIFAC-CORE are two centers on the campus which can provide a whole lot of opportunities. On campus activities which go on all round the year do not let the creativity of the young students die. Academic faculty is highly educated and student friendly.
But yes, if in a master's degree course, don't expect high salary packages.
You'll have to jump in the arena yourself after gaining your expertise.
