UniPune admission to a majority of PG and UG courses is based on the Online Entrance Exam (OEE) conducted by the University. SPPU admission for a majority of PG and UG courses, such as M.Sc. M.A. M.Tech, M.Com B.A. And BBA among others, is based on the Online Entrance Exam (OEE) conducted by the University. Additionally, there are numerous courses, such as MCA MMM, Advanced Diploma, MPH E-MBA, LL. M. and M. Lib. ISC among others, where the admission process is completely based on merit in the previous qualifying exam (Class 12 for UG admission and UG degree for PG admission). Thus, students will not be able to get direct admissions to Pune University.

Savitribai Phule Pune University  (also known as UNIPUNE, Pune University and SPPU), is a collegiate public state university. The University is located at Pune, was established in 1949 through Poona University Act and is one of the premier universities in India. Recognised by UGC, it is popularly known as the 'Oxford of the East'. The University is accredited ‘A’ grade by NAAC. With over 40+ academic departments,  10+ faculties and 50+ research centres, the university also has about 300+ recognised research institutes and over 700 affiliated colleges offering UG, PG, diploma, PG diploma, PhD and certificate courses.

Savitribai Phule Pune University is recognised by University Grants Commission (UGC) along with AIU. Interestingly, SPPU is popularly known as the 'Oxford of the East'. UniPune is not very difficult to get admission. Students should qualify the minimum eligibility criteria. Pune University offers admission basis merit and entrance wherein students must secure minimum marks in Class 12 or graduation, depending on the level of course opted. Students should also have valid scores in accepted entrance exams such as ATMA, OEE, GATE, UGC NET or SLET.

As per the information available on the web, Pune University exams are not that easy since the competition is high. However, consistent efforts and study help students to pass the exam. Students must go through the notes created in class and books to score well in the exam. The passing mark in Pune University exams is 40%.
