The best aspects of the course are the hands-on projects and real-world exposure we get through internships, design challenges, and collaborations with industry professionals. I wish there were more opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration with other departments, which could broaden our perspectives and skill Sets. Additional, while the facilities are good, increasing the availability of more advanced design tools and resources would further enhance our learning experience. The campus life at MITAOE is vibrant, with various events and fests that bring the community together. The annual design fest is a highlight, showcasing student talent and creativity. The campus crowd is diverse, with students from different backgrounds, which enriches our learning experience. The campus surroundings are peaceful, providing a conducive environment for study. The placements, infrastructure, faculty and campus are good.
Placements: Around 80% of students got placed in the course. The highest package offered was 22 LPA. Almost 70% of students got internships in their desired companies. Top roles offered in my course are copywriting, typewriting, filming, designing video etc.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available. The labs are well-arranged and have proper safety precautions. The workshop doesn't have proper safety precautions which leads to small accidents. The quality of the food in the mess is edible.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and are Ph.D. holders in their respective subjects. They are helpful when asked for their help, and will guide us through almost any situation. Exams are not that difficult unless you have studied everything you need to and attended lectures.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to do something different. The faculty could provide us with PDFs of the assignments given with details so that we know what to do exactly.

Good infrastructure, no placements at all, not much exposure, very few reliable faculty.
Placements: The institution doesn't provide any placements as such. Students have to build their own portfolio and approach the firms. They wish to work with. Many students do get opportunities to work with great companies, but not through college but their personal efforts. Some faculty members do help and provide guidance.
Infrastructure: Right now, design students don't have any specific space for themselves, since the intake of architecture has increased. The library is pretty well-equipped. Wi-Fi connection doesn't work to a great extent on personal computers, but AV rooms are provided with proper projectors and good infrastructure. The institution has a well-equipped computer lab.
Faculty: The curriculum is worked upon, although the introductory part of every aspect of designing is intended to do which I find perfect. Practical aspects of learning are still lacking. Exposure, site visits aren't done much, which I think is highly essential for designers to understand.
Other: Being a design school providing a bachelor's degree from a renowned University, the fees are comparatively less, but the amount one has to spend on stationery to explore is huge. One can actually get another degree in the same amount.

Reality of MIT SCHOOL OF DESIGN, ALANDI.
Placements: We have 85 students in the class, after which 30-30-30 are divided per department (may vary according to the department). The college does not provide any placement as they do not have a separate placement cell for the students. As design students, we have to search for the internships and jobs on our own.
Infrastructure: The college does not provide any hostel facility for the boys. For girls, they do have a hostel around 50 meters from the college, which is exactly opposite the college entrance road. Other facilities like the playground and sports amenities are very few, or we can say, not at all present, as the college does not have any maintained ground for the students. The college does have its own mess and a private mess too.
Faculty: Most of the faculty members in the college are IIT, NID, IIM pass-outs, which is a plus point for students as they have around 15-40 years of industrial experience, and the faculty members are actual industrial experts. The courses are very practical here. The grading system depends totally on how convincing your idea is and the final output. After the completion of the semester, we have to take a jury exam as the end-semester exam, which is a single-day exam and may take 45 minutes to 3 hours.
Other: I selected product design as my main specialization. I can also choose a few courses from other departments too. After my 4th semester, I would really expect the college to improve the infrastructure on the campus, which includes roads, security, and sports facilities. Events are like once in a blue moon, so better you don't expect something like a Bollywood movie or even the bare minimum.
