SPPU MBA Admission & Application Process 2026
Savitribai Phule Pune University MBA course admissions are based on entrance exams. Candidates wanting to enrol in SPPU MBA must check the eligibility and selection requirements. SPPU PUMBA strictly follows DTE, Maharashtra rules for admission process of MBA.
The steps to be followed for SPPU MBA admissions are:
Step 1: Pune University MBA Application Process
Candidates seeking admission can apply online on the official website and submit their application forms. There is no requirement to submit the required documents or application form offline.
- Go to the official website of SPPU, https://www.unipune.ac.in/.
- Click on 'Admission' tab and click on the admission tab of the preferred course.
- Click on 'Registration' and enter the email-id and mobile number.
- An OTP will be sent for verification.
- Login to fill out the application form.
- Upload documents and pay the application fees.
Step 2: Shortlisting of Applications
In this step, the applications can be evaluated based on eligibility fulfilment. Candidates from Maharashtra are shortlisted based on MH-CET whereas non-Maharashtra candidates are shortlisted based on scores in CAT/CMAT/MH-CET.
The university may allot seats through a counselling procedure.
Step 3: Admission Confirmation
The selected students can pay the admission fee and submit documents to confirm their seats. Documents required for admission are as follows:

Step 1: Appear for ATMA Exam
Aspirants need to register for ATMA and appear for it as per schedule to obtain a valid score.
Step 2: SPPU Registration
The candidate has to register on the One Campus Portal of the University at https://campus.unipune.ac.in/CCEP/Login.aspx. All details are to be filled in the form as required.
Step 3: Merit List
The steps to be followed after selection in merit list are as follows:
3.1 Applicants whose name appear in the Merit list of MBA (PBT) need to log-in to the student dashboard for further admission process.
3.2 Click on 'Apply' button,
3.3 Fill required information.
3.4 Upload the documents as per the list given.
3.5 Click on the 'Send for Department Approval button'.
Step 4: Admission Confirmation
To confirm SPPU admission, selected students must follow the steps below:
4.1 Report to PUMBA for the verification of all the original documents as per schedule.
4.2 After approval of the admission, a Pay/Print (admission challan) link will be available in the 'Admission Details' under Menu.
4.3 Pay the fees online using debit/credit card or net banking within 2 days of department approval. Download the payment receipt.

No, UNIPUNE doesn't offer direct admission to MBA course. Candidates have to qualify the eligibility and selection criteria. SPPU MBA admissions for Maharashtra candidates are subject to a valid score in MAH CET, conducted by DTE Maharashtra. However, for outside Maharashtra candidates, a valid score in CMAT/ CAT/ MAH CET works well. Interested candidates are required to register on the official website and appear for the course-wise shortlisting process. Before that candidates have qualify the eligibilty, any UG degree with at least 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for reserved category candidates).
To apply for Pune University MBA admission, candidates need to visit the official website of the University and register themselves before its last date. For admission to MBA courses offered by the affiliated colleges under SPPU, candidates are required to visit/ contact the shortlisted institute or apply for MAH CET exam conducted by DTE Maharashtra.
Department of Management Sciences, Pune University MBA often sees a very high cutoff. For MAH CET, the closing round went as high as 99.89 percentile based on 2025 data. Pune University MBA course curriculum include topics related to the field of Management and specialisation-specific subjects. The syllabus shall include some of the common core subjects as well. SPPU offers courses at the UG, Diploma and PG levels in full-time mode. Admission to the respective course is offered on the basis of merit and entrance. The University offers respective courses with total tuition fees ranging from INR 3 K to INR 30 Lakh, differing level to level of the course.
SPPU offers seat resrvations to the students. Check below for more details on seat reservation policy:
- SPPU provides reservation in seats in UG, PG, integrated and interdisciplinary courses as per the norms laid down by the Government of Maharashtra. This also includes reservation for person with divyanga/ Orphan and defence personnel's child/ ex-servicement child.
- Reservation for MSc Virology programme is as per norms laid down by Central reservation policy from time to time.
- 30% seats are reserved for femle students for UG courses as per the rules of Government of Mahrashtra.
SPPU admission for a majority of PG and UG courses, such as M.Sc. M.A. M.Tech, M.Com B.A. And BBA among others, is based on the Online Entrance Exam (OEE) conducted by the University. Additionally, there are numerous courses, such as MCA MMM, Advanced Diploma, MPH E-MBA, LL. M. and M. Lib. ISC among others, where the admission process is completely based on merit in the previous qualifying exam (Class 12 for UG admission and UG degree for PG admission). Thus, students will not be able to get direct admissions to Pune University.
UniPune cutoff for MArch course is based on MAH MArch CET scores. As per the cutoff 2023, the Round 1 closing ranks for Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Samthas Dr. Bhanuben Nanavati College of Architecture For Women and Aayojan School of Architecture and Design, Maharashtra stood the same at 44 for the General category Home State candidates.

Yes, SPPU placements are good. As per NIRF report 2026, 114 students were placed out of 309 graduating students during SPPU UG 3-year placements 2025. UG 3-year median package received was 2.4 LPA. In PG 2-year, the median package received was 3.5 LPA. 707 students were placed out of 1686 graduating students during PG 2-year placements 2025. The list of documents required for Unioune admission and OEE registration are Score card of last qualifying exam, Mark sheet of last semester of qualifying exam, Caste certificate/ non-creamy layer certificate issued by the Government of Maharashtra – for reserved category candidates, Valid income certificate issued by the Government of Maharashtra, and Medical certificate issued by a civil surgeon in case of PwD category. Candidates must have photocopies of these documents.
The UNIPUNE MH CET Cutoff 2025 was released for all rounds and categories belonging to the Home State and the All India quota. According to the MH CET Cutoff 2025, the cutoff ranged from 40.05 score in the first round closing cutoff to 99.32, according to the last round closing score for the General AI category.
UniPune cutoff 2025 is out for all rounds and categories. According to UniPune B.Tech cutoff 2025, a rank of 50000 should be good enough to get you admission to one of the affiliated colleges, as the rank range is well above 50000 for many.
