Reality of the THM Course in H.R. College of Commerce and Economics.
Placements: No companies visit the college, so we never get placements from the college. Many students find placements on their own. Professors also help us get placements. We get some internships with a stipend of Rs. 10,000 per month in any tour or travel company.
Infrastructure: Our classes do not run in the HR college. Classes are held in KC Law College rooms. There is no air-conditioning, and no smart boards. Professors teach with mobile phones. The library is good enough, but there are not too many books.
Faculty: Some professors are good, but not all. 90% of students have cleared the exam. The course does not make students industry-ready. There is only a name that we gain practical knowledge, but we do not get anything. They didn't give at least one trip as a tourism student, and they never charge too much for IVC. They give a PDF to read and write in exams.

Dissatisfied, the syllabus is not good.
Placements: I am in my last year. The college doesn't tell us about placements or anything, but they tell us to find an internship somewhere. It's mandatory, but the thing is, we don't know where to get an internship. Angel One and some brokerage companies, HDFC Financial Securities, etc., are companies that come for recruiting.
Infrastructure: In my course, the college provides facilities, but they have just theoretical knowledge, not practical knowledge, and financial markets are all about practical experience. They also repeat the syllabus from the first year to the last year. They told us they would make a stock market lab last year, but it hasn't been done yet.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified, but they teach for exams, not for careers. The course is going well, but there are not many good aspects that help us at the industry level. The exam is not very difficult for a person who is engaged in financial markets. I passed with 56%.
Other: I chose this because it is the only course where they specifically teach financial markets, which is why I chose it. The syllabus should improve. They shouldn’t repeat communication-related subjects, as this is not a theoretical subject. Sports are good at Birla College, and I am also a Yogasana athlete.

College was good with supportive faculty members, but lacked events. Students should use it smartly.
Placements: My experience was good at this college. They provided me hands on training on instruments like UV-Vis, HPTLC, HPLC, GC and FT-IR which was the high end techniques in todays world also I got to work on clinical trials and due to it I gained skills.
Infrastructure: Classroom infrastructure was excellent with spacious and fully air conditioned rooms that provided comfortable learning environment. All necessary facilities were available including proper seating and lighting. Teaching staff was well qualified, approachable and supportive, contributing to an enriching and smooth academic experience.
Faculty: Dr. Sasi Kumar Menon, our HOD, had always been a source of constant support and motivation. Even after completing my graduation, he continues to guide me as an alumnus with the same dedication. His mentorship helped me stay focused, make informed academic and career decisions, and remain connected to the field. I am truly grateful for his encouragement and for always being there to direct me towards the right path.

Great campus life with industry-relevant curriculum.
Placements: I am in the B.Voc in software development batch (2024-2027). In my course, around 70-80% of students manage to get placements, especially those who actively build skills and projects. The highest package offered to B.Voc students was approximately 12 LPA, the lowest is around 4 LPA, and the average package ranges from 4-6 LPA. Top recruiting companies include TCS, LTI, Infosys, Capgemini, and Webtech Startups. Most students secure internships, primarily in startups, MSMEs, and in-house projects, through platforms like Internshala, LinkedIn, and the college's placement cell. Roles offered include frontend developer, QA tester, web developer, UI/UX designer, and technical support roles.
Infrastructure: The college has well-maintained computer labs, high-speed internet, smart classrooms, and access to libraries and study rooms. The infrastructure is very modern and updated. The hostel facilities are decent with clean rooms, and 24/7 security. Decent mess food and laundry. The canteen serves a huge variety of food, and there's a medical facility available on the campus. Sports facilities include basketball, volleyball court, cricket ground, and indoor games.
Faculty: Faculty members are all young and helpful, qualified and knowledgeable, especially in web development, and data structures. Some teachers have industry experience and encourage project-based learning. The curriculum is relevant and aligned with industry requirements, including modules on React, NodeJS, Git, and live projects. Semester exams are manageable if you stay consistent and the passing percentage is high, most students clear exams on time.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted a skill-based, industry-ready program with real project experience. B.Voc provides that with practical exposure, live projects, and professional development. What could improve is the availability of higher-end hardware or better support for personal projects. More structured placement training could also help.

The greatest college for students to upgrade their skills.
Placements: Approximately 60 percent of students get placed. The highest package is 15 LPA in our stream of business management and entrepreneurship development. Many top companies visit for placement, and the college provides many internship schemes for students during the summer vacation. The top roles offered in our stream are human resources and business analyst, with the highest packages.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are okay but neat and clean. Washrooms are also clean, but the canteens are crowded all the time. They provide the best facilities to hang out with friends and learn new skills, like the gym, gaming space, and sports ground. Teachers and staff are so friendly.
Faculty: The teaching quality is too good, but teachers do not come on time, which can be irritating sometimes. But teachers are well-educated, qualified, and excellent skilled. The B.Voc course is practical which makes students ready for the industry. The exam papers are not too tough if you study properly.
Other: I'm doing B.Voc in business management and entrepreneurship development. I chose this course to excel in business management, and it really helps me clear all doubts regarding business. It also improves my presentation skills. Events and fests are top-level, and if you're a student who wants fun in college life, this will be the best choice for a student.

It's value for money, and they have great placement opportunities.
Placements: It's been tried out by many companies and you can do your grooming as per the company. So placement is quite good and after graduation completion for 4 months, they send job notifications, which is good. They offered many courses for graduation and post-graduation, so if you are going to join the college, it is best. Their principal is also chill and always happy.
Infrastructure: RJ College has made its infrastructure better nowadays. It also gets a 'NAAC' rating, which makes this college best for students. RJ College has 6 floors with wide classrooms and their faculty is the best and most helpful. The canteen is also there, which is not bad or average.
Faculty: All the faculty were knowledgeable and helpful. They don't say no to the students and the syllabus taught was best according to the pattern of exams. Graduation college was in the morning and undergraduate in the afternoon. The time and environment of college were top-notch.
Other: RJ College does not have a big campus but it's good. They have Gymkhana within their college. They also have so many activities going on at the college every month, which makes the environment so happy and exciting.
