Supportive faculty, positive learning experience, and good placements.

Placements: Most students in my course are successfully placed. The placement rate is high due to the strong demand for the B.Sc. Biotechnology course. The average package ranges from 3 to 4 LPA, with the highest reaching up to 8 LPA and the lowest around 1 to 1.5 LPA, which is not bad. Companies like Cipla and the Indian Institute of Science offer roles such as Research Assistant, Production Executive, and more to different students.

Infrastructure: Our Biotechnology department is equipped with modern infrastructure to support both academic and research activities. High-speed Wi-Fi is available across the campus and laboratories. A well-stocked library has almost all reference materials. The hostels are well-maintained, and the rooms are clean.

Faculty: Faculty members hold Master’s or Ph.D. degrees in Biotechnology or related fields. Semester exams are moderately difficult and can be challenging, which helps to increase theoretical understanding and practical skills. The pass percentage is usually high due to good teaching.

Other: I see strong potential in terms of career opportunities, so I choose it. For students with strong practical skills, companies and research institutes offer opportunities. The campus hosts both academic events and cultural fests. Plenty of clubs for cultural dance, drama, music, and debate. So there is always something happening. The campus is green, peaceful, and clean, and it also has a botanical garden and research farms, which are great for life sciences students.

If you want a good placement and perfect college life just go for it.

Placements: There are almost 80-90% placements in our colleges, as more than 480 companies visit every year. We have an alumni system through which students can be placed very easily. Recently, I also got placed at Juvilian company in Bangalore. Also, one of my friends from B.Tech CSE got placed at Google company with a package of 1.05 crore.

Infrastructure: So in terms of cleanliness, our campus is very much forward. There are 1,000 computers. A central library and every department also have its own as well. Talking about the hostel there are almost 5 girls blocks and 7 boys blocks. Each block has its own mess with good quality 5 times meal as well.

Faculty: Here, you will get Ph.D. holder faculty members only. The cirruculum is decided according to students' will and they conduct 2 exams each semester. Also, the curriculum they set is very much relevant nothing is unusual in it. The exam paper is also set so that students with low caliber can also pass that. The passing mark is 22 out of 60.

Other: I always wanted to be in science field and innovation so I opted for this course. And doing this from my college is worth the money. Also, the campus life is very good. There is a big and grand Yuva fest held every year. Sports events happen at regular intervals of time. Also, students get scholarship with that.

College has happy surroundings.

Placements: Many people get placements from my college. The highest package from my course is about 14 LPA. Most of the students got internships. Around 90% of students get placed in many big companies. Top roles offered in my course are to be lab assistant, researcher, and so on.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of my course is very big and well-developed. There are smart labs, classrooms, and Wi-Fi. There is a big library. Hostel rooms are not very big but good. Food quality is also good in the canteen. Many medical facilities, labs, and sports are there.

Faculty: Teachers are very much qualified in their respective subjects. They are also helpful. Teaching quality of many is good but some are a little bit arrogant. Semester exams are tough but students pass with hard work. Around many students get passed.

Other: Events and fests are at regular intervals. Campus also has happy vibes.

Uttaranchal University (unfiltered from the eyes of the students).

Placements: Companies visiting the college are mostly not from my domain. Companies like Accenture, Infosys, pharma companies, and food companies visit the college for placements. The average package ranges from 4-6 LPA. A maximum number of students do not take up the job and prefer higher studies.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is top-notch. However, the food from the mess is terrible. Wi-Fi seldom works. Hostels have common washrooms and no electric equipment is allowed. The medical facility is available. Sports ground and also sports clubs are present. The infrastructure is so beautiful with mountain views. Labs are well-equipped but there is always room for change.

Faculty: Few teachers are highly qualified and teach so well while others act like secondary school teachers imposing unnecessary restrictions. The course is always completed on time and exams are conducted at the right time.

Other: I chose this course because it is a growing field and this era is of biotechnology. From vaccines to farming everything relies on this field so it has great scope. Every year in April there is a fest where renowned Bollywood singers come. Apart from that, every department conducts its own programs.

College – Where the real journey begins.

Placements: About 70% of students are placed in our college. The highest package is around 1.5 crore for the B.Tech CSE department, and the lowest is something like 2 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Google, Amazon, and Wipro. For our department, the companies are Accenture and Planet Park. The main roles offered are data entry jobs for average students and freshers.

Infrastructure: The facilities provided by the college are very good. There are many books in our library. Classrooms are also very neat and clean. Wi-Fi also works sometimes. There is a huge lab on the campus. The quality of food is quite good compared to other colleges, which I heard from my friends. Sports and annual meet are also held on campus.

Faculty: Teachers are very good in terms of teaching. Mostly, all are Ph.D. holders and have many years of experience in the teaching field. The course provides practical information and knowledge to the students to prepare for the industrial field. Semester examinations are quite tough, but not as difficult if you prepare, then it is all good for you.

Other: My interest in the research field has always been high because I want something in my hand to do something beyond experiments. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it fails, that's why I chose this course to do some research work in my practical session. Some more equipment and more area to do experiments, that's all a research students need. Many events are held on our campus, like the Diwali fest, the annual fest, and sports activities, all of which impact students' lives in a very good and confident manner.

Should focus on extracurricular activities also and less focus on fee taking.

Placements: The maximum package offered is almost 15 LPA, and the minimum is 7 LPA in our B.Sc. Biotechnology course. The top recruiter on campus is Accenture. At least 70% of students are placed. Roles offered for this course are diagnostic assistant, biotechnologist, and pharmaceutical company employee.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the hostel is also good for the students. The labs and classrooms are decent and clean, but the lab equipment is not enough for all the students in the class. The Wi-Fi barely works in the hostel and classrooms. The food is good in the mess.

Faculty: The teachers are knowledgeable and qualified enough for students in the biotechnology field. The course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready, but there are not enough lab processes for every student; only some students get to do all the practical and lab work.

Other: I chose this course because I wanted to go into the research field and become an entrepreneur. The university should focus on quality, not quantity, of students in any field.

Overall if you are a native of Dehradun or Uttarakhand then go for it.

Placements: Students who actively participated in the recruitment process were placed in good companies. Most of the students opted for a Master's degree; many got good internship opportunities. The average package was 15 to 20k per month to approximately 50k. Companies like TCS and Microsoft came for recruitment. They offered internships followed by recruitment.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is adequate; available labs are well-equipped, and dedicated equipment facilities are available. Regular lab work is performed. Classrooms have digital audio and video players. The campus is green and clean. Food cafes and courts are available at nearly every stretch. Proper parking facilities are available, and regular sports meets are organized to continue the cultural engagement of students.

Faculty: Regular exams, sessional and end-of-semester, are conducted. Practical exams are also conducted, and knowledge is tested. The curriculum taught is relevant, precise, and specially designed. Applied Science books are available at the library, and teachers provide proper notes. It is easy to pass if you have attended classes regularly. 70 percent attendance is mandatory to sit for exams.

Other: I chose biotechnology because it was a unique subject. Applied sciences teach you specialized and dedicated subject knowledge. It is good for you if you don't want to study regular CBZ courses or graduation courses.

The college is best for any kind of courses and mainly it is famous for law college.

Placements: 10% got placements as others wanted to do post-graduation. 8 LPA max placement and minimum is 5 LPA well many companies come there for taking interviews and seminars are taken place from the companies they tell us about the work they do.

Infrastructure: Proper hygiene is taken in the hostels. Always have food for everyone. Even for the sick children, light food is also made. The library is also very good; lots of books are also provided and issued. Overall infrastructure is also good; it has a big playground also.

Faculty: Very well-disciplined examinations take place. The faculty members are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is also relevant, and teachers also teach us about patents and entrepreneurship. The semester exams are not difficult if you study your course properly. The lab is also well-equipped.
