Good college with serene views and nature.
Placements: There is less placement in our college, but approximately 30-40% of students are placed. The highest package was 20 lakh per annum, and the lowest package is 3 lakh. Top recruiting companies are Infosys, HCL, L&T, THDC, etc. 50% of students got internships in biotechnology courses at UCB, etc. Top roles are in computer science and core branches like mechanical and civil.
Infrastructure: In the biotechnology department, there is proper infrastructure for classes, seminar halls for meetings, and lab facilities for students with equipment. There is no individual branch library, but there is a common library for students where plenty of books from different courses are available. I’m not a hosteller.
Faculty: Yes, teachers are very helpful and qualified with great knowledge. The teaching quality is also good; they help us understand every single topic in detail. Yes, the course curriculum is relevant; they teach us topic-wise and focus on what is useful for further exams. Semester exams are sometimes difficult and easy, depending on which subjects are in the semester.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to pursue biotechnology with engineering and technical expertise and knowledge. I wish there was more lab experience provided to us. Every few months, different events and fests, both cultural and technical programs, are held.

College with a beautiful view.
Placements: 50% of people are placed in our college. The lowest package is 4 LPA and the highest is 9 LPA. Most companies come for sales jobs only. The top company is Medico. Students do internships on their own, as the college doesn't provide them. Internships generally don't require a specific percentage.
Infrastructure: In our college, every department has its own building, and Wi-Fi is present. Digital teaching is also available in the classrooms. The large library has all the basic requirements and course-related books. The hostel provides decent food, and water facilities are also adequate. Students can stay as they can.
Faculty: Yes, the teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is quite nice, and the interaction between teacher and student is very nice. Yes, this course, Biotechnology, is relevant for students and makes them industry-ready. Outside India, this course's value is high compared to India. The semester exams are pretty decent, and not very difficult. The pass percentage is 60%.
Other: I was interested in the research field, which is why I chose this course. It is a very good course if you are from a PCB background and don't want to pursue medicine. The best thing about this course is the value it has outside India, which is very high. More lab facilities would improve my course. There are many events like Gosh Goonj, cultural fests like Footloose and Tech Fest, and many more. There is only a college student crowd on campus; very few civilians are present.

Life at Govind Ballabh Pant Institute of Engineering and Technology.
Placements: When we talk about the placements of B.Tech students, the CSE branch remains ahead of all other branches. 90 to 95 percent of students are placed in well-known companies by the college authority. Infosys, BEL, and many other companies. The highest package was achieved by the student of the electronics branch of 12 lacs per annum whereas the minimum package was of 3.2 per annum by a CSE student.
Infrastructure: Each department is equipped with Wi-Fi facilities. Each classroom has a smart board which helps teachers to make a good interaction with students and make it easy by using the smart board through showing 3D images and diagrams. The hostel has Wi-Fi facilities. When we talk about the food available in the mess, it is quite satisfactory.
Faculty: Mostly all the faculty members have pursued their Bachelors, Masters, and Ph.D. from well-known institutes. Many of them have studied from IITs. Teaching quality is much better than in other colleges. However, in this college, there is more theoretical study as compared to laboratory work. This field requires more laboratory work and field work compared to theoretical knowledge.
Other: I opted for this college because of its lower fee structure and better placement record. Events conducted in this college involve cultural events and technical events. The biggest event of this college in terms of culture is GOONJ. and one of the biggest technical events of this college is TECHFEST in which many colleges participate.

Short Information about GBPIET.
Placements: We have very few students coming here because it is very less affiliated with B.Tech and due to this, our placement is also not very good. The maximum placement of our branch is 11 Lacs per annum and the minimum placement is 3 Lacs per annum.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our department is very good. 24-hour Wi-Fi is available in our department and let's talk about our hostel. All kinds of facilities are available in our hostel and 24-hour Wi-Fi is available for us. Apart from that, there is also a library in our hostel.
Faculty: All the faculty for our course are very good, they help us in every possible way and our exam curriculum is very good, our papers are prepared by our college. In our exam curriculum, we are taught how to group placements and hence for our future in getting a job.

What's real GBPIET looks like!
Placements: I am from the biotechnology branch, and there are almost 25-30 students in our department every year, and the placements are actually less since it is a research course, but people do internships even in IITs, and the average package is about 6 Lacs per annum.
Infrastructure: The per-semester fee of my course is about 35,700 rupees and the hostel + mess fees per semester is about 18,200 rupees, which I found is quite good as compared to other engineering colleges and they provide you various facilities in classroom like smart board, projectors, etc. And also in mess, they'll try to provide you with a variety of food.
Faculty: Every teacher is so good at their own fields and experienced too. They are very helpful in nature. The biotechnology course is all about research, and the curriculum is good in terms of relevancy. There are 2 external exams and 2 CTs (class tests) in one semester in our college.
Other: There are various clubs in our college that will help you to cherish your extracurricular activities, and also every department has its own society.

The real GDPIET from a student's point of view.
Placements: I have not graduated, so I can't explain the placement scenario, but the records are average, about 4-6 LPA for most. The companies that visit include TCS, Wipro, BEL, etc. The highest package recently was about 97 LPA, though it's rare. I personally plan for higher studies, so I am preparing for GATE and applying for other government jobs.
Infrastructure: Hostels are nice and clean (only if you keep them that way). There is regular cleaning of halls and washrooms, but the rooms are your responsibility. Every room has 3-4 beds depending on the hostel, some even come with a single set, though not for the first few years. There are outlets and tube lights for every roommate, along with a bed, chair, table with drawers, and a cupboard. There are no fans because they are rarely required as the temperature is relatively cool. Rooms come with balconies, although some hostels don't have them. The food is decent enough, with meals served at 8-9:00 AM for breakfast, 1-2:00 PM for lunch, 5-6:00 PM for snacks and tea, and 8-9:00 PM for dinner. There are restaurants and stalls close by, or you can order food delivered to your hostel. The fee is cheap, around 36,000 per year or about 3,000 per month. You can rent PGs, though I would not recommend it as hostels are enough for most.
Faculty: The events are the best part. The cultural fest and sports fest "Josh" in the alternate semester were some of the few good things to remember in my entire college life. A typical class has 50-70 students. The faculty is good enough, but you need to put in effort if you aim to crack something major. As usual, every teacher is different, and you need to get along with each of them. Study hard on your own; just don't expect much from the faculty. Exams are not easy, but regular study or last-minute crams (if you can) are enough for those who just want to pass. To score well, you have to study regularly, which can get a bit difficult with classes from 9 to 4, leaving not much time for other stuff, so time management is required. The course is decided by Uttarakhand Technical University, Dehradun. All books and materials are available in the library and can be issued without any charges.
Other: Students here are nicer than at many colleges in Uttarakhand, and overall, it's a good college.

It is an excellent college.
Placements: Our college provides average placements. The average salary package offered is 6 LPA and the highest salary package offered is 12 LPA. Top recruiting companies visit our campus. There is a separate training and placement cell that helps students for placement purposes.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available throughout the hostel. A library is available. The quality of food in the hostel mess is good. Three students share a single room. A huge playground is available for various sports like football, cricket, etc. There are separate courts for badminton and basketball.
Faculty: Our teachers are helpful and well-qualified. Most of them are Ph.D. holders. The course curriculum is as prescribed by AICTE. There is a semester exam and two class tests in a semester. Exams are average. The pass percentage is 40%. 75% attendance is mandatory.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to pursue a career in bioinformatics. Our college organises two events, such as Josh and Goonj. Techfests are held. Our college provides various scholarships, like NSP and PMS.

I would recommend students to take admission to this college.
Placements: Placement Cell takes the initiative to place students in reputed companies all over India. Overall, the placement scenario is quite good, but in the biotechnology branch, placements are not appropriate as few companies visit. We can get good off-campus placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is the best. It is the best college with beautiful mountains. Our college consists of a well-furnished library, different departments, various hostels, and a well-equipped lab in every department. There is an MG auditorium on our campus.
Faculty: Faculty members are well-experienced. Few are postgraduate. Almost all of faculty members are doctorate-level qualified. Exams are very hectic as we all know it very well. Two sessional exams and one end-semester exam are conducted. We all need to qualify for the examinations for further studies.
Other: The campus has MG Auditorium which holds many cultural events.
