UU University is a cult university.

Placements: In law, it is all up to students to learn and grow. Apart from NLUs and SLS Pune, not many colleges or universities have proactive placements for law studies. I am still a newbie as I join the university this year and therefore I am not so sure about how the placements are at Uttaranchal University.

Infrastructure: Such a beautiful campus located right at the city centre in Dehradun. Premnagar Market and other spots are at a nearby distance. The university has both boys' and girls' hostels inside the campus. Even though there are around 40+ courses in our university, we still have various department buildings, and luckily, the law department has one of the finest blocks in the university.

Faculty: The real deal of professors is still unknown to me as it is really early doors. However, the faculty members who take classes so far are highly talented, and the best part is that they are real entertainers. My reason for opting for this course is quite simple, as my family has various lawyers and having seen them from close quarters, law is what I always want to study.

Other: So far, festivals are celebrated at the campus, which I see. One MUN competition is also organized at our campus, and nearly 40–50 colleges and universities participate in that.

College is good, and I recommend you join this university.

Placements: In my course, overall 2000+ were placed. The average salary in this course is around 3.5 LPA with companies like Jubilant Biosys, TCS, etc. Roles include microbiologist, quality control executive, research assistant, etc. As I am new, I only know this much about my course.

Infrastructure: The facilities in my university building are fair enough not too luxurious nor too poor. Wi-Fi is of average speed, labs are good with adequate facilities, and the library is also fine in my building. However, the university has a separate central library. The quality of that, according to my friend, is average. Sports, medical, and canteen facilities are fine.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful. I find my teachers knowledgeable, and they support students. As we are fewer in quantity, that may be a reason too. The curriculum is relevant, and it makes the students ready for the industry. The semester, till now for me, is not too difficult, with average study, you can score a good CGPA.

Other: I chose this course because I want to become a biotechnologist. Till now, everything is fine. Events are good, but this is my first fest, and it was canceled, so I feel bad. Extracurricular activities are good.

Faculty: Teachers in our college are very helpful. They are the best in their professions. Anyone can individually connect to them. They are always available. Semester exams are quite hard because they prepare students for the future. The pass percentage is excellent.

Other: There are so many opportunities in this course, so I chose it. I wish to improve my coding speed. Events are organised regularly, and anyone can participate in them.

Infrastructure: Our college provides facilities like smart classrooms, a good Wi-Fi network, labs, and farms for practical knowledge. I don't live in the hostel, but my friend often talks about the food, which is not good. It offers good sports.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful in my course. They are well qualified. I think the B.Sc. (Hons.) in Agriculture course is very good for students. It makes students industry-ready. Average college with average placements, will say decent private college.

Placements: The average number of students placed in my course. They say the highest package was 1 crore something, but it was from outside. The lowest is really low, like 3-4 LPA. The average is not fixed because getting placed in college itself is tough. Students get internships, although most of them are paid and partnered with the college.

Infrastructure: According to my classmates, the hostel and mess food are good, especially for the boys, but the girls' hostel is not good. There is no unity there, and food quality has degraded. Better to avoid the girls' hostel. Various facilities are provided by the campus, including Wi-Fi, gym, sports club, cafeteria, and medical facilities.

Faculty: The faculty is good and knowledgeable; some of them are decent. Overall, the teaching quality is good. Most of them have M.Sc. and PhDs, and are pursuing PhDs. The course curriculum is relevant according to 2025, and more new subjects will be added (heard from teachers). Students become industry-ready as long as they are willing to do it. Semester exams are moderately difficult as they should be, although the pass percentage varies according to years and semesters. In the first semester, it was quite low.

Other: B.Tech in Computer Science is an emerging course with lots of opportunities in the near future. There are various fields to choose from here. Many events are organized throughout the year. They are of different types, including technical, non-technical, awareness, seminars, international conferences, etc.
