    Vel Tech Rangarajan Dr Sagunthala R and D Institute of Science and Technology or Vel Tech University conducts VITUEEE for admission to BTech programme. The test is conducted in 2 phases in computer-based mode. The test includes a total of 90 questions, 30 each for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

    A good college with supportive faculty, decent placements, and campus life.
    Placements: Placements in our college are average to good, depending on the student's skills and academic performance. Around 60–70% of students from my batch get placed through campus placements. The placement cell is active and provides training in aptitude, technical skills, resume preparation, and mock interviews. The highest package offered is around 6–8 LPA, the lowest package is about 2–3 LPA, and the average package is nearly 3.5–4 LPA. Most students receive packages in the average range.
    Infrastructure: Infrastructure of our college is good and well-maintained. Classrooms are spacious, properly ventilated. They are equipped with projectors and boards. Laboratories are well equipped with the required systems and instruments for practical learning. Wi-Fi is available across the campus. Though the speed may vary at times. Library has a good collection of textbooks, reference books, journals, and digital resources. It helps with academics and exam preparation. Hostel facilities are satisfactory with clean rooms. Along with regular water supply, and basic facilities. The quality of food in the mess is average, hygienic. Menu is changed regularly.
    Faculty: Faculty members in our department are qualified, experienced, and supportive. Most teachers explain concepts clearly and are approachable for doubts both inside and outside the classroom. Teaching quality is good, with a balance of theory and practical sessions. Some faculty members also encourage students to participate in seminars, projects, and workshops. The curriculum is relevant and structured, covering core subjects and the basics required for the industry. It provides a strong theoretical foundation, but students are expected to upgrade their skills through self-learning, internships, and online courses to become fully industry-ready. Semester exams are of moderate difficulty.
    Other: The campus crowd is friendly, diverse, and supportive, with students coming from different backgrounds. The environment is positive. It helps in personal as well as academic growth. I chose this course because it provides good career opportunities and a strong foundation in core subjects. The best part of the course is the balance between theory and practical learning, along with guidance from faculty. The college conducts technical and cultural events, fests, seminars, and workshops regularly. It helps students improve communication and teamwork skills. Extracurricular activities, clubs, and sports are encouraged.

The lowest package is about 3 LPA, and the average package stood near 4.5-5 LPA. Top recruiting companies included TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, Accenture, Capgemini, and HCL. Nearly 60% of students secured internships in companies like TCS, Infosys, and startups. Common roles offered are Software Engineer, System Engineer, Analyst, and Support Engineer.
    Infrastructure: The college provides good infrastructure with well-maintained classrooms. Along with a Wi-Fi-enabled campus, and properly equipped laboratories for practical learning.     It is a good college with decent faculty.
    Placements: Around 60-70% of students from our batch got placed through campus placement. Top companies included TCS and Infosys. Students also got some internships in IT and core companies with roles like software engineer, analyst, and trainee engineer, and students are getting good packages.
    Infrastructure: The infrastructure for our course is quite good and well-maintained classrooms, proper labs and a library that has sufficient academic books and digital resources. The campus provides Wi-Fi connectivity for students. The hostel facilities are decent with clean rooms and regular water supply.
    Faculty: Exams are not more difficult, pass percentage is 75%. The faculty members are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable in their respective subjects. Most teachers explain concepts clearly and provide support during exams and project work. The curriculum is fairly relevant and provides good classes.

    Placements: I am from B.Tech CSE AI & ML, batch of 2028, currently in first year, second semester. Placement performance is very positive, with around 85 to 90 percent of students placed every year. The highest package goes up to 40+ LPA, the average package is around 6 LPA to 7 LPA and the lowest package is about 3 LPA to 4 LPA. Top recruiters include Amazon, Microsoft, TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Deloitte, and AI startups. 70 to 75 percent of students get internships in reputed companies. Roles included software engineer, AI/ML engineer, data scientist and full stack developer.
    Infrastructure: Infrastructure at Vel Tech Rangarajan Dr. Sagunthala R&D Institute of Science and Technology for B.Tech CSE AI & ML is very good. Classrooms are smart. Labs have updated systems, and high speed Wi-Fi is available across campus. The central library offers ample academic and digital resources. Hostels are clean, secure, and well-maintained with decent rooms. The mess food is hygienic. The canteen provides good variety. On campus medical facilities are reliable, sports grounds and games help maintain a balanced, positive student life. Overall the infrastructure strongly supports academic growth and comfort.
    Faculty: Faculty, curriculum and exams for B.Tech CSE AI & ML at Vel Tech University are good but balanced, I would rate them 3 stars. Teachers are qualified and helpful, with solid industry knowledge and friendly support when we ask questions, making learning enjoyable. The curriculum integrates core CSE and AI/ML fundamentals aligned with industry needs. Semester exams are fair and manageable with good preparation and most students pass with confidence. The overall academic experience feels positive and motivating, helping us stay focused on excellence and future career success.
    Other: I am from B.Tech CSE AI & ML, batch of 2028, currently in first year, second semester at Vel Teach Rangarajan Dr. Sagunthala R&D Institute of Science and Technology, with a 9.0 CGPA in my first semester. I chose this course because AI&ML is future-focused and blends strong fundamentals with innovation. The best part is exposure to core CSE, labs, projects, and industry orientation. More hands-on AI projects would be a great upgrade. Campus life is vibrant with fests, clubs, sports, good connectivity, scholarships, and a diverse, motivated crowd, making the overall experience very positive.

    The college is very good but they can improve.
    Placements: In my course, nearly 60% of students have placed. The highest offered is 9 Lacs, the lowest package offered is 2.4 Lacs, and the average package will be 3.5 Lacs. The top companies will be Amazon, TCS, Accenture, Cognizant, etc. I don't know the percentage exactly, but some of our students got internship opportunities.
    Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good, and we have labs for different departments. We also have different classrooms for different departments, and the library is good with good facilities. We have two college canteens, one for our branch and another for another branch, and the food facility is good. The medical facility is lacking, and we play different tournaments in college.
    Faculty: Teachers are helpful. I can't say that teachers are fully prepared. Some faculty will be good, and some will not be good at teaching. The teachers don't have the basics, and the teaching quality is a little bit good. The curriculum is somewhat relevant to the industry.
    Other: The best thing about college is the infrastructure and also the teachers with good communication. The hostel facility is good. The things they need to improve are to maintain a good teaching faculty, and the food should be somewhat better. It should also be clean.
