Vel Tech Rangarajan Dr Sagunthala R and D Institute of Science and Technology or Vel Tech University conducts VITUEEE for admission to BTech programme. The test is conducted in 2 phases in computer-based mode. The test includes a total of 90 questions, 30 each for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

The tuition fee for BTech and BTech (Lateral Entry) courses at Vel Tech ranges from INR 4.05 Lakhs - INR 14.4 Lakhs. This is the total tuition fees and the complete payment may increase based on the additional charges. For instance, for the BTech (CSE) branch, the tuition fee is INR 14.4 Lakhs. But along with the hostel fee of INR 4.30 lakhs, and a one-time charge of INR 5,000, the total fee payment becomes INR 18.75 Lakhs.

In order to get admission to BTech, students can get admission through both merit and entrance-based. Aspirants need to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria in the first place, which is to pass Class 12 with 60% aggregate in the respective subjects or equivalent from any recognised board. Students who get less than 60% aggregate in their previous qualifying exams must qualify for VTUEEE. While those who get more than 60% aggregate will get can direct admission based on their merit performance in their previous qualifying exam. Qualified students also have to fill an online application form on the official website of Vel Tech.

Yes, Vel Tech offers hostel facilities to students enrolled in the law programme, such as BA LLB and BCom LLB. As per the official website, the university provides standard rooms on three sharing, four sharing, five sharing, and six sharing. Vel Tech University offers direct admission to the third year For admission to the BTech Lateral Entry course, there is minimum eligibility criteria that need to be fulfilled before applying for the course.
