Students who are willing to get admission to this course are required to pass Diploma in Engineering/ Technology from the State Board of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu or its equivalent as the minimum eligibility criteria. The university offers this course around the same specialisations as of BTech.
Vel Tech University offers direct admission to the third year For admission to the BTech Lateral Entry course, there is minimum eligibility criteria that need to be fulfilled before applying for the course. Those who are interested to apply for this course must pass Diploma in Engineering/ Technology from the State Board of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu or its equivalent. As there is no entrance exam required for admission, students will be selected based on their merit performance in the previous qualifying exam.
