B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2027

VIT Bhopal: A place to grow.
Placements: The placement ratio is very high, like last year, 95% of the candidates got placement, and nearly 3000 candidates applied for the on-campus placement drive from the Computer Science Branch. But the average placement is very low, and it is 7.7LPA. The highest placement till now is 56LPA in Zomato.
Infrastructure: The hostel infrastructure is very poor here. Washrooms are not properly cleaned every day, and mess food is very oily and spicy. Most websites, including ChatGPT, are blocked through college Wi-Fi. The college Wi-Fi provides a speed of 9 Mbps, and most of the time, the routers malfunction. Mobile network connectivity throughout the campus is very poor.
Faculty: The college provides a 100% doctoral faculty who have a good amount of teaching experience. The curriculum in this college is not so placement-ready, as most of the concepts required for a good placement need to be learn by oneself. The exam rules in this college are strict.

B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering (Gaming Technology) - Batch of 2028

VIT Bhopal's Gaming branch is good enough to provide exposure to the gaming industry.
Placements: More than 75% of the Gaming students were placed this year with decent offers, ranging from a highest of 56 LPA, a lowest of 4 LPA, and an average of 9 LPA. TCS and Wipro are the top recruiters for almost every branch, with some internship offers available, although off-campus internships might be a better option, and the top roles are primarily assigned after training.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi isn’t the best, but it gets the work done; 1080p streams or Zoom calls will get you through. Every classroom has projectors, and the labs are equipped with the latest PCs and various AR and VR equipment. The infrastructure is still under development, but it’s good. The hostels are good, and new ones are still being built, so far, 8 hostels have been constructed. The mess food is generally good, though there are times when it doesn’t taste great, but most of the time, it’s good enough.
Faculty: All teachers are Ph.D. holders, friendly, and very knowledgeable, and they motivate you to study while suggesting plans on how to approach their subjects. The curriculum is on par with top Indian as well as foreign universities, making students industry-ready. The semesters are not very difficult, typically lasting between 3 to 4 months each, with 3 to 4 semesters every year.
Other: There is a strict 75% attendance policy, and events are conducted almost constantly from more than 60 clubs in total. Advitiya is the biggest fest, where popular celebrity singers are invited to perform for the night.

Good only for academics but campus life is not good.
Placements: 90% of students are placed out of students who were eligible for placement. Microsoft, Google, and other top companies come for the placement. The average package is 7-8 lakh. The top roles offered are for CSE students. Many companies had also come for internships.
Infrastructure: Campus is under construction . Infrastructure is not at all good. You have to walk for 25 minutes from hostel to academic block. The hostels are newly constructed, so hostels are good but highly overpriced. There are only 2 canteens for boys hostel. You cannot purchase anything because it has a very small window and is so crowded.
Faculty: All faculties have doctorates (phD). They are highly knowledgeable and very kind and helpful. You can ask your doubts to your respective teachers. Course curriculum is very well planned. Exams are difficult, and are held every 2.5 months, which is mid-semester and semester-end.
Other: I chose this course because I am passionate about developing and coding. Campus life is not good here. The college is very far from the main city. The campus is under construction. They do not provide any scholarships.

Review of VIT Bhopal University. The best college in North India.
Placements: With 80% of students being placed with decent offers, the highest salary reached 56 LPA, the lowest is 4 LPA, and the average is 9 LPA, with TCS and Wipro as top recruiters; additionally, very few paid internships are available, but a good amount of unpaid internships exist, and the top roles are mainly secured after an initial training period.
Infrastructure: While the Wi-Fi speed is not very good, it gets the work done and allows for 1080p streaming on two devices simultaneously, and although the overall infrastructure is still under development, the labs are good and fully equipped with the latest technology, with the hostels being good, the mess food being good, and no ragging.
Faculty: All teachers are Ph.D. holders with extensive knowledge on their subject, and the faculty is helpful and motivates you to study; the updated curriculum is on par with foreign universities and makes students industry-ready at a base level, and the semesters are not very difficult if you pay attention in class.

The college is decent, you should consider this.
Placements: The placement cell is decent as compared to other private colleges, they shortlist the candidates by their CGPA and board marks. Placement percentage is decent, almost 80 percent of students are placed. Some reputed companies also visit the campus, and mass recruitment is also done.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is decent, it has a green campus, and there is no pollution in the air as compared to other cities. It has an airy classroom, and the hostel is good. The mess food is superb and has a variety of menus. The lab and classroom are good and the best sitting arrangement.
Faculty: The faculty are good, they are supportive in nature and help the students in solving and are knowledgeable people who make the students ready for real-world problem-solving skills. The exam is not that much, though not that easy. Students pass the exam as the faculty provides the best study material.
Other: I chose this course due to I have an interest in it and I am very excited to learn about AI and machine learning.

Not so satisfied, good placements, but not for everyone.
Placements: I don't really know much about the placements as I am a fresher. The average salary is around 3 LPA to 4 LPA this year. There are many students who are also not placed. The highest placement would also have been there which we are not aware of yet.
Infrastructure: I would not say the infrastructure of labs is something that you would be dreaming of, but it's okay, better than some government colleges out there. Wi-Fi doesn't work all the time, you will have problems related to Wi-Fi and the internet. The mess is also okay. A few dishes have some taste. The night canteen is very costly and the food they serve is very spicy but it's better than what they give in the mess. They say the medical facility of the hostel is there 24X7, all lies. The nurse or doctor comes for only a specific hour every day.
Faculty: All the professors are either Ph.D. or pursuing Ph.D. The course curriculum is very good in my opinion and it's according to today's needs. We have the FFCS system so we can choose our own faculty for each subject. The exams are conducted within the college itself. We have relatively grading. A student should score more than 60 in total out of 100 including both the mid and end semester in order to pass.
Other: It is a new course and is financially feasible. All the courses have the same curriculum so I don't think it matters that much here. Maybe the placement preferences differ for each course. The annual fest is good only because they bring in good artists.
