B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2029

I said all about my university, and now you have to pay me up.
Placements: I genuinely have no idea about the current highest package, but I know something about the average for my course, it is 9 LPA. That’s what I know, and companies like Microsoft, Oracle, and Google, and others, are like the top, but the placements are average only.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is so good that you cannot even download a PDF, as the classrooms are hot and burning people every day in the summer. Only a few fans are available. Labs are good, but the real deal is to manage the food and bulking up because the quality is good and the quantity is bad, and it’s the inverse in the other mess.
Faculty: Copying is possible in the exams. Itis not a good college for non-copying average students. Semester exams are not that hard, like JEE or NEET questions, but manageable. We have to do other projects and stuff at the same pace as the exams too. Teachers are mid. The curriculum has no connection with jobs.

B.Tech. in Information Technology - Batch of 2028

Review of VIT Vellore.
Placements: The current IT Batch is good with comparatively less number of students than other branches. Around 80 percent of students get placed, while others choose to go for higher education. The highest package offered in the IT branch is 53 LPA, and the lowest package offered ranges from 3-4 LPA.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is good, but it is capped at a particular speed and shuts down at 12:30 AM. Overall, the infrastructure is good. It is equipped with gyms, basketball courts, and other sports amenities. Students have to choose the hostel and a mess every new year themselves. Hostels are allotted based on our branch rank.
Faculty: The course curriculum is different from other branches, specifically for IT, having a different course code. But it is similar to what is being offered in other colleges. Teachers are chosen by students only during FFCS (A system to choose our own teacher and make our own timetable for classes).

B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering (Cyber Security) - Batch of 2029

Best decision of my life.
Placements: Placements are more than 90 percent. The internship percentage is also more than 90 percent. Top recruiting companies offering are Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Visa, etc.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in the library and every hostel block, with a pretty good internet speed. Hostel blocks are not less than heaven. There are very clean washrooms and there is no crowd in the washrooms in the morning or during peak hours, too. Food is also great, and the mess serves a variety of options to eat for students. Cybersecurity courses are offered and labs are equipped with the latest technology.
Faculty: Faculty members are well educated and do fair checking of exams. There is no discrimination by any teacher based on color, caste, religion etc. Courses are extremely relevant to the curriculum and make industry experts. Semester exams are pretty hard, but if any student pays attention in class, he/she will be able to crack it. Well qualified teachers, a variety of students from every culture and a diverse population
Other: I chose this course because the future wants cybersecurity.

Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) - Batch of 2027
4.4

I am satisfied because of the good infrastructure and good placements.
Placements: So, coming to the placements in BCA, the eligible CGPA for placements is above 8. If 9, it is better as about 94 percent of students get placed, as the recruiter company conducts its own exam to get into their company. The package offered ranges from 3-7 LPA for the BCA course. The college will not provide internships. We have to search for internships. The top role offered is developer.
Infrastructure: Facilities are good. In VIT, all students will have the same facilities that will not differ. Our college infrastructure is a very good place to study. It will provide Wi-Fi only in the library. Hostels have their specific range, like single person per room, 2, 3, 4, 6, and 8 sharing rooms. The hostel fee may vary, and for 7 days, they will provide different kinds of food in the hostel.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified. They will teach according to students perspective. There are only a few teachers, as they just read the PPT and run away. The BCA subjects are the same as the M.Tech and B.Tech syllabus in VIT. They make us study in depth. BCA students have a low syllabus compared to B.Tech and M.Tech. Exams are moderate because they will ask scenario questions and not direct questions.
Other: I have to finish my studies, and I want to prepare for the government examination, so I chose this course. VIT will conduct many events, and the Reviera is famous for that.

Companies hire for R&D roles.
Placements: Major offers for exceptional roles like research and development are provided by companies like Schlumberger, 3M, and GE Appliances, considering the invite card of our college for recruitment drives. Two kinds of packages are offered by a few companies for the top and lower roles. Some other core companies like Hitachi Energy and Intel also participate in the drives.
Infrastructure: Leave intimation, on-duty, and other emergencies require the intimation of the parents. Otherwise, we are not allowed anywhere. Transportation modes like the college bus and public transport such as bus, auto, and cab are available frequently. Mini stationery is available for students to purchase randomly needed things to avoid frequent movement outside the institution.
Faculty: Our faculty members shine like a star with their phenomenal qualifications and years of experience. Faculty members do not matter about the students' previous image and their background. They are very clear that their profession is to teach the students. Faculty members are busy with everyday portions, and there is no time for them to take leave.

I am absolutely satisfied with this college.
Placements: 80% of students who got an opportunity to sit in placements are placed. Placements are decent at VIT Vellore. The package varies from 4 LPA to 1.02 CPA. It depends on the skill set of the student. Top recruiting companies include Microsoft, Google, Goldman Sachs, Benz, and many more. VIT lacks internship opportunities. The top role offered in the CSE core is a software engineer.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very well-maintained by the VIT team. Classrooms are very well-maintained with projectors installed in every class. The labs are built with proper equipment and are loaded with ACs. Hostels are well-maintained and well-furnished. The mess food varies from hostel to hostel. VIT has excellent sports facilities, as it contains 3 gyms, 3 basketball courts, and many more facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and well-educated. The course is well-designed by professionals to make a student industry-ready. Exams are not that competitive, but maintaining a CGPA in CSE is quite tough as there's a lot of competition here. VIT conducts 3 exams within a semester. 2 of them are closed-book, and one is an open-book exam.
