XIM University Bhubaneswar Course Admissions 2026: Eligibility, Courses, Fees & Selection Criteria

As per the fee structure of the XIM University BA course, the entire tuition fee ranges from INR 3.5 to INR 5.2 lakh. The tuition fee and other expenses vary with many elements. The fee structure contains many phases, like hostel fees, tuition fees, one-time charges, etc. Interested students are eligible to pay the admission fees to complete their admission process.

No you can't! The admissions to the MBA programme is entrance based. There is no direct provision for admission. The university admits its candidates through the CAT and MAT exams for MBA admissions.

The admission process for the BCom programme at XIM University follows a multi-step procedure. In this procedure, the admissions committee will initially test whether the candidates are qualified for getting eligibility criteria set up by the university for the admission procedure of the BCom programme. The eligibility criteria set up by the university for admission to the BCom programme at XIM University include merit and the personal interview round. Candidates who have cleared are allowed to access the university website for exercise of options for the counselling rounds. The students whose name appears on the merit list are called upon to pay the admission fee so that all confirmation of admission processes takes place accordingly.

The duration of the BCom course at Xavier University is three years, which is bifurcated into six semesters. This two-semesters-per-academic-year degree programme thus follows a diverse curriculum of core and elective subjects for the students. Providing specialised knowledge in fields, such as accounting and finance, this academic programme aims to nurture both theoretical and practical skills. Candidates can get admission at the XIM University for the BA LLB (Hons) programme. Course-specific eligibility criteria have to be met by the applicant who wishes to get into the BA LLB. The application submission can be done on the official website, and admission is based on entrance scores, which must be valid. The candidate should have passed Class 12 with at least 45% aggregate. The applications are first shortlisted, after which the 'Admission Committee will verify the uploaded documents. The confirmations of admission are notified to the shortlisted candidates through an email.

Candidates seeking admission to XIM University admission to the full-time MBA in Urban Management and Governance and  Master of Business Finance courses must have a valid score in NMAT. Going as per past year trends, the cutoff score for XIM University must be around 140 for the NMAT exam. 

The XAT application fee is INR 2,200. The XAT fee is to be paid online at the time of forms submission. The fee is same for candidates belonging to all categories. Unlike other MBA entrance exams, there is no rebate for Reserved category candidates in XAT. If you select XLRI in the application form for admission, you will have to pay INR 200 additionally.

The fee can be paid via debit/credit card, cash card, mobile wallets, or net-banking. It is mandatory to pay the application fee before deadline for successful registration. Candidates can fill the application form and pay the fee later, however they will need to make the fee payment before the registration deadline so that their form is accepted by the examination authority. Until the fee is paid, the XAT application form will remain pending acceptance. Candidates must note that the registration fee is non-refundable. So, they should fill the form without error, otherwise they will have to fill the form again and pay the fee again.

CAT cutoffs are usually not announced with the CAT result. The CAT cutoffs are also not released to the public.

They are published after a few days of the result announcement when the IIMs and other colleges start their shortlisting process. The IIMs opens their shortlisting window based on the CAT cut-offs two to three days after the result announcement. The CAT percentile of candidates shortlisted for the Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD), and Personal Interview (PI) can be considered the cut-off for that IIM. For example, if a candidate with a CAT percentile of 99 belonging to the General category is selected for the WAT/GD-PI of IIM Calcutta, then the CAT cut-off for IIM Calcutta is 99 percentile. Only those candidates who make it to the WAT/GD-PI round of IIMs will get to know the cut-offs.

XIM University offers scholarships to meritorious students. Students have to meet the eligibility criteria to get the scholarships. The university also provides scholarships to high-performing athletes and sportspersons as per their eligibility for postgraduate courses.

Three candidates from ST, SC, economically backward/ minority category avails the Xavier University scholarship. They are provided with 30% of the course/tuition fee for the first year. To continue the offer, students must secure a minimum 7.5 CGPA in the subsequent year.

The university offers postgraduate programme in MBA- Business Management, EMBA- Business Management, MBA- Human Resource Management, MBA- Rural Management, MBA- Sustainability Management, MBA- Urban Management & Governance, Master of Management Studies (Business Finance), MA- Mass Communication, MTech- Computer Science & Engineering, Master in Urban & Regional Planning, Master in public Policy and Governance and MSc- Economics.
