Yenepoya Occupational Therapy.

Placements: Okay, to start with, B.Sc. Occupational Therapy is a recently started course here in Yenepoya, Mangalore, so our most senior batch is yet to pass out; they are now doing their internships. I’m not well aware of the placement situation, but as far as I know, it will turn out good. It will depend on individual knowledge and talents too.

Infrastructure: Talking about classroom facilities, it’s all good. We have a big classroom with well-educated faculty members teaching. The classroom has central AC and can accommodate up to 200 students. About the hostel, umm, it's fine. I mean, hostels are not usually that great, so yes, one can adjust. The food is also eatable.

Faculty: The faculty for almost all subjects is really great. They all put in a good effort to help students understand well. I have to mention that last semester (that’s my second semester), we all had a really bad experience with the faculty and teaching method in Bioengineering.

Other: This course is highly demanding nowadays. I hope they improve the teaching quality of OT practicals so that students can learn well. About events, I have no complaints. It will vary according to the batch, and our seniors, as most events are held outside the campus with permission from faculty. All we got from the college are the freshers, a cultural program (a 5-day event), and the department day (OT Day). That's all.

I can say its Good but not Bad.

Placements: They give admission to students more than they can afford to teach. It really has a bad effect on the students, as they get less attention from teachers. As a professional course, I believe it is necessary to keep a limit on the number of students who can learn a specific course. So that they get better education and opportunities.

Infrastructure: The facilities at the college are good. They provide a nice class, and AC and fans are also available. They provide really neat classrooms. And the hostel food and mess are kind of okay. And I think the hostels provided by Yenepoya give better food than other colleges.

Faculty: Okay TBH The department teachers are all average. I don't think they put in an honest effort to teach us (maybe because we are hard to manage as there are lots of students). its okay for theory class, but for practical, it's bad. I don't know if OT practicals are supposed to be like this, but for us, its really difficult to understand things they explain. But, again, I am not sure if it will be appropriate for students above the average. Its all just my opinion. The faculty members for anatomy, physiology, and bio chemistry (which are the subjects for 1st year) are all good. Anatomy practical is also very nice teaching.

Other: I heard that this course is nice from many doctors and other professionals. And I still hear the same. I don't know about the value of college as I haven't finished the course yet. Events are like, yes, there are events such as freshmen, culturals, and so on. And some events depend on what your seniors give you. So I can't say much. I hope there will be more events for you. Just enjoy every experience they provide you.
