AAT application form 2026 will be available only on June 1 and 2, 2026. AAT 2026 will be conducted on June 4, 2026. AAT application form link will be active on the official website, jeeadv.ac.in. Candidates who qualify JEE Advanced can apply for AAT 2026 on the specified dates to appear for the exam. No separate AAT 2026 admit card will be released. Candidates must present their JEE Advanced 2026 admit card at the centres to attempt the examination.

The exam will be conducted as a 3-hour, pen-and-paper-based test. The exam is conducted to evaluate on the knowledge of the candidate in General Knowledge, Geometry Drawing, 3D Aspects, Freehand Drawing, Imagination and Aesthetic Sensitivity in AAT 2026. AAT 2026 results will be announced on June 7, 2026. The qualifying status for the examination will be released through the AAT result 2026. Qualified candidates will be eligible for BArch admissions into IIT Roorkee, IIT Kharagpur and IIT Varanasi. Read to know more about AAT 2026.

What is AAT?

The Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) is conducted every year for the candidates who wish to be admitted to the BArch programme offered by IIT Kharagpur, IIT Varanasi and IIT Roorkee. One of the most important eligibility for appearing in AAT is to qualify JEE Advanced. AAT will be conducted after the JEE Advanced results are out.

Application Form Details of AAT

The authorities will release the AAT 2026 application form online. All eligible candidates will have to fill out and submit the JEE Advanced AAT 2026 application form by the final date. During the AAT 2026 application process, the candidates have to register, check the displayed details and select their choice of exam centre from the available list. If the candidates do not submit the application form before the final date, then they will not be allowed to attempt the examination.

AAT 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates were advised to check the AAT eligibility 2026 before applying for the examination. The criteria have been listed below for the candidate's reference:

  • Candidates should have qualified JEE Advanced 2026.
  • Along with securing a valid rank in JEE Advanced, the candidates should also meet the basic academic eligibility criteria of the examination.

AAT Admit Card 2026

The authorities will not release the AAT admit card 2026. Candidates are required to present their JEE Advanced 2026 admit card at the examination centre. Without the admit card, the candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam centre. Details regarding the allotted exam centre and other instructions were given to the candidates separately. Preparation Tips: AAT Entrance Exam

Some of important preparation tips for AAT 2026 have been given below.

  • Candidates must know syllabus and exam pattern of AAT 2026 well. This will help them to know what has to be studied and how the examination will be conducted.
  • A personalised timetable had to be prepared so that candidates will be able to cover entire syllabus well before examination.
  • Mock tests have to be conducted regularly so that candidates understood commonly made mistakes and work on them.
  • Always revise the topics studied.

AAT 2026 Syllabus

AAT 2026 syllabus released online at jeeadv.ac.in. Through AAT syllabus 2026, the candidates can check the list of topics that need to be studied for the entrance exam. Candidates must refer to syllabus carefully to plan preparation and have a higher chance of getting good marks in the entrance examination. AAT syllabus will include topics that will assess the candidate's freehand drawing, geometrical drawing, three-dimensional perception, architectural awareness, imagination and aesthetic sensitivity.

Exam Pattern of AAT 2026

The authorities have released the AAT 2026 exam pattern. Candidates can check the details on how the entrance examination will be conducted through the AAT exam pattern 2026. According to the AAT exam pattern, the authorities will conduct AAT as a pen-and-paper-based test. The total duration of the examination will be for 3 hours. AAT is conducted for admission to BArch courses conducted by IIT Varanasi, IIT Roorkee and IIT Kharagpur.
