The curriculum remains industry-relevant through a dynamic mix of academia and industry inputs, exemplified by the success of students in entrepreneurial endeavors.

Q1. What are the salient features of the teaching methodology adopted by your college? How does this differ from others?

The emphasis of the teaching is on the Hands-on experience of doing things than on the learning by the stated theories and fundamentals. This gives the students correlate their learnings and contribute the environments around on all aspects of business. A very distinguished focal point of the teaching is on the sculpting of entrepreneurs through IRE, Innovation, Research and Entrepreneurship.

Way different to stand out unique in comparison to other schools, where the emphasis is on the rot of bookish learnings to be reproduced as a metrics for qualification of a degree.

Q2. How are you preparing your students to be Industry ready?

The preparation of the students is very clearly on the focus of the output for the organizations, businesses and the industry they contribute to after their graduation from the courses. The focus is on the roles the students would get into to perform their tasks. The required skills, the required knowledge, the objectives of the composing courses working in synchrony to shape the mindset, the skillset, the required personalities

A dedicated program, CPMP- Certification in Personal Mastery Program is a unique proposition that makes each and every student stand out of others in them being ready to get into the desired role with the industry profiles.

Q3. What are the qualities you are looking for in student applicants? What qualities do they need to do well in your course?

A Post Graduate course in Management is a lot sought after across students of various backgrounds. This does give a very wide array of student mix who apply for GIBS. Our stand of the students to qualify for an admission in GIBS is very clearly articulated by the management. The aptitude of the students to learn required skills, concepts and the rigor they have to dedicate their learning and the commitment they have against the set metrics is the criteria GIBS has set for the admission to the students.

Skills are largely in Quantitative, Conceptual and Knowledge application areas with a very strong personality that reflects adaptability to accommodate the perspectives from people across backgrounds.

Q4. How do you ensure that your course curriculum is up to date and meets industry requirements?

Inputs. The spectrum of inputs that GIBS gets, into the design of curriculum and the inputs that compose the focus areas of skills, is spreads across experts from Academia - Board of Studies, for instance and industry, the connect which every faculty and the dedicated teams put on. All the faculty, the mix of Professors of Practice, Doctorates with long careers and very wide exposure in the industry have always given the inputs to make the curriculum grow by leaps to match industry requirements.

Q5. Is your college receptive to innovation, technology, science & entrepreneurship? How? Could you cite some examples of these?

IRE, Innovation, Research and Entrepreneurship, stated above has been the pillar for the vision, GIBS works towards. Instances where our students have won exemplary remarks on their entrepreneurial skills and ideas, stood out to shape the platforms for the companies to initiate discussions with GIBS is an epitaph for this effort.
