IIM Udaipur Joins the Prestigious FT Master in Management Ranking 2019
IIM Udaipur - Indian Institute of Management (IIMU) has now become part of the prestigious Financial Times (FT) Master in Management (MIM) Ranking 2019, positioned at 76th rank. IIM Udaipur is one of new entrants to the list. Till 2018, only three IIMs, including Ahmedabad, Bangalore and Calcutta, made it to the global ranking.
The FT ranking measures a number of factors, including compensation and career progress for alumni; value for money; representation of schools (female faculty, students and board members); international experience and research; and internships for students. After acquiring Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) accreditation in November 2018, IIM Udaipur was eligible for the 2019 Financial Times MIM ranking, which includes top European, Asian and North American B-schools.
"IIM Udaipur began its journey with a clear vision in place that included a commitment to thought leadership in high-quality research and the development of managers and entrepreneurs ready to become the leaders of tomorrow. The Institute has been carefully developing systems and processes since day one that has helped them to be in today's FT MIM list. Institute has always set high benchmarks, and achievement to it give them confidence and motivation to pursue higher goals, "said IIM Udaipur Chairman Pankaj Patel.
Except for schools created by combining existing long-standing institutions, IIM Udaipur is the world's youngest management school in both the top FT MIM 100 ranking and the QS MIM ranking. Last year, it became India's first B-school to earn the AACSB accreditation and joined the elite group of five per cent of the world's B-schools.
“IIM Udaipur has always approached management education as a journey of transformation. Being in the FT MIM Ranking is a validation of IIM Udaipur’s focus on our long-term vision. Our accomplished faculty, outstanding alumni and talented students have enabled us to make rapid progress on our path of continuous growth and innovation. Our most recent step on this path was the launching of the first-ever one year MBA in digital enterprise management for experienced professionals,” said IIM Udaipur Director Janat Shah.
