Internship opportunities in MNIT

MNIT, Jaipur has a CRC/IIC which coordinates the summer internship programme by inviting industries for the recruitment of student interns. Each student has a guide from their internship company and a faculty member from the institution to help them through this journey. A board of 2-3 members assesses the performance of student interns through presentations, project reports and viva-voce.

Summer training

Practical knowledge of the field in which the student is studying is an important part of any technical curriculum. Summer training/internship offers students an opportunity to work in a professional setting so that they can adapt themselves to the real-world application of technologies and enhance their technical skills. This

exposure helps them to become acquainted with the field on a practical level, which will allow them to deliver their best when they join the industry as working professionals.

The training and placement cell provides students with practical training in companies, organizations, and industries of national and international renown. Some of the students also willingly work as summer interns at IITs, IIMs, ISRO, BHEL, NTPC, and DRDO. Students may also get research-oriented internship offers from Finland, Australia, UK, Germany, South Korea, Japan, Singapore etc.

Full Semester Industry Internship

The policies of the institution permit the students to spend a full semester (7th semester of B.Tech or 3rd semester of M.Tech) in an industry. This is optional for students who have scored a CGPA above 8.

Summer internship and Pre-Placement Offer (PPO)

While visiting the institute for the recruitment drive, organisations are encouraged to consider pre-final year students for the summer internship that can be further subsequently converted into a Pre-Placement Offer.

The primary objective of the summer internship is to understand and apply the theoretical concepts in practical environs and develop a good understanding of the professional and corporate environment. These summer internships are designed to help students gain practical knowledge in their field of specialization, which will help them in their future careers. 

SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME

The Training and Placement Cell welcomes recruiters for participation in the summer internship recruitment programs, which are held for pre-final year students of B.Tech, M.Tech and MBA summer internship that can be further subsequently converted into a Pre-Placement Offer.

These summer internships are designed to help students gain practical knowledge in their field of specialization, which will help them in their future careers. 

SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME

• Period of internship:

1) 6-8 weeks (May - July): Summers  

2) Six Months: B.Tech internship, 7^th / 8^th semester (Normally succeeding summer internship); M.Tech 3^rd semester (July - Dec) and 4^th semester (Jan - June)

3) One Year: M. Tech, 3^rd and 4^th semester (July - June).

• Selection process:

- Option I: The selection process can be facilitated by welcoming the recruiters to visit the campus and conduct placement drives.

- Option II: The Training & Placement cell can do the screening and send resumes according to the mentioned eligibility, requirements and number of interns by the recruiters.

The Summer Intern Recruitment Program is organised every year while the students are in their fifth or sixth semester. It has been successful in meeting the needs of the leading recruiters. It not only assists students in making the best decisions but also allows recruiters to "catch them young" through pre-placement offers. The rigour of study at MNIT Jaipur, coupled with lab sessions and balanced industrial exposure as well as extracurricular activities

on campus through a wide range of student clubs and societies, brings out the best in the students and prepares them well for challenging leadership roles. Summer internships are highly effective in adding value to the student's future.
