Mystory@Pramod Kumar: How I made my career – Challenges and successes
I believe that I have worked hard to be where I'm today. I completed my intermediate in 2011, but due to of my family problems I couldn't join a regular degree and opted for distance education from Andhra University. As soon as I cleared my intermediate I started working as a sales person in Ranbaxy Global Consumer Healthcare. I hadn't gone to college, but whatever I am today is because of my experience in sales. When I was working at Ranbaxy I got the performer of the year award. I worked at Ranbaxy for 3 years and after that I joined Novartis India Pvt. Limited where I got Voltarin Brand Runner Award from actress Priya Anand.
I was doing very well in Novartis and one day my boss called me and offered me a job in Piramal Enterprises Limited, but I rejected the opportunity. I was afraid to leave the company. Moreover, I was not very sure of how I would be able to perform in a new organisation. However, my boss made me understand that if I did not seize this opportunity at the right moment, there were 10 more people waiting to grab it. I made the most of this opportunity and resigned from Novartis in December 2015. Soon, I Joined Piramal Enterprises Limited and today I am working as an area sales officer in the company. Here too I was awarded for my excellent performance.
