NIT Manipur does allow a one-time branch change for BTech students after the completion of the first year. This is based purely on your academic performance in the first two semesters. You must have a very high CGPA and there must be vacant seats in the branch you wish to join.

At NIT Manipur, all BTech students belonging to the SC and ST categories get a 100% tuition fee waiver. This means you do not have to pay anything for tuition, but yes, other institutional charges like admission and development fees still need to be paid.

To join NIT Manipur, you must first register and appear for the JEE Main entrance exam for the BTech course. After results are out, you need to participate JoSAA counselling. At the time of counselling, list NIT Manipur as your preferred choice. If your rank matches the cutoff, you will get a seat.
